Rainbow - Temple of the King (Cover).

A "lockdown" recording and video of this Rainbow classic from 1975 - recorded in Spain, USA and the UK - this started in March 21, and took until November to get sorted. Took an age to get a mix everyone was happy with - and then a day in a castle had to be arranged! Produced and edited by Phil Crombie.

I love that this solo takes the song up another level as opposed to the more mellow original. Excellent editing too; never thought I'd be nodding in sync to Mr. Morris while staring deeply into his face but here we are. Truly a magical cover. @@philcrombiebass . Thankyou. Of course, I appreciate any creativity in composing the music arrangement that could deliberately be made different from the original ('Rainbow') version. But perhaps we have different 'taste'. According to my 'taste', the sound (s) of the Lead-Guitar (Electric Guitar) and the Percussion here are a bit 'too dominant'. In the original ('Rainbow') version, a combination of electric & acoustic guitar was used. And I prefer the BASE to play more role throughout the Song. The Lead (Electric guitar) in the original version was only made dominant during the instrument "interlude" in the middle part. But this is only my personal opinion. And again, I particularly like the VOCAL ... 👍

@@philcrombiebass my skill is guitar, keyboards and without realising it, I’m, much to my own surprise a ‘natural’ drummer too. I went from being a fan in the audience, to the drummer in a band in the same gig when the drummer was taken ill. It just happened and since then, I realised that I had somehow paid as much attention to the drum parts of music I liked, to figuring out how to play guitar; which I’m not a natural at but enjoy all the same. Who knew? What I meant was that I’d love to have like minded and talented people like you around me. I crave that creative interaction with musical people, having moved from a city in England to rural France a couple of years ago. You reminded me of that.
