A look at Felixstowe Ferry starting on the prom at old Felixstowe showing the beach huts and sweep of the coastline on the approach to the ferry. Then on to Felixstowe Ferry showing the beautiful views across the water, the boats, the fishermen, the old derelict houseboats along the river Deben and the cafes. Felixstowe ferry is a beautiful little hamlet sitting at the mouth of the Deben Estuary where it meets the North Sea. It has a pub and a couple of small cafes. This is a wonderful little place to sit and meditate, unwind, walk, meet friends for breakfast, lunch, coffee or afternoon tea. This is a great place for walks. You can head out along the pathway beside the river Deben and walk all the way to Woodbridge if you have the time. Or you can walk along in the other direction on the sea side, past the Yacht Club, the now closed Victoria Pub (the other pub, the Ferry Boat Inn is still open), and the Martello Tower in the direction of Felixstowe Docks, which you can see in the distance. Although I am a professional photographer, I am purely an amateur film-maker showing the area where I live.
