I love that you don't phone it in. The fact that you use the Ruckus Rake to prepare the soil for seed, then you're going to drill the seed in, is a measure of your dedication to finishing a project like you'd want your own project completed. It's fun watching you in that big ol' kitty cat and I love watching your expertise. Thanks, Chris.

That pond really does "sit" in its location very nicely. It blends with the slopes and the area perfectly. Once it is full, and the grass comes up it will look like it was "always there"...which seems to be a trademark of your work. Well done.

Well, if there was anyone who questioned Chris buying the 330 and/or the D7 they should be straight on that now. This has to be one of the fastest stump and debris clearing and pond builds Chris has done. Even taking into account it's small one acre size it went pretty fast.

I’m amazed at the power of your D7! As a youngster in the 50’s my builder, developer father had a D6 and a 955 loader! Your 7 has a lot more backbone than the D6!!! It brings back fond memories watching you operate your vintage equipment! He also had a Bucyrus Erie 15B set up as a backhoe! Keep these videos coming! Thanks

It may have something to do with a 75 year old memory, but I do think that D7 gets more done (of course there is all the hydraulics vs the old cable blade) than the WWII Army surplus that built the Alcan Highway during the war. We had one of those old RD-8 cable blade Cats on our homestead in Alaska during the late 1940s and through the '50s. That with a couple of similar aged Duece & a Half trucks got the job done. I've been watch Chris's video for a couple of years now and they're all informative and entertaining! Thanks for all that work (and the videos!! 😂

Some progress is better than no progress on rain days. The D7 is going to be a game changer on bigger jobs. Your comparison and mentioning bucket differences really shows itself when you were digging the overflow in, you would be a day just loading the haul truck with that bucket. Thanks for the update sir.

Every time we watch you lay pipes, it reminds us of the time when you and John were employed it fix someone else mistake. As they had laid those huge concrete pipes in back to front. Digging each of the pipes up than turn them around, reseal each join and cover them up again. And that wasn’t a small job.

That's going to be one very proud property owner once the pond is filled and the grass has grown in. A nice little fishing hole he can spend lazy afternoons fishin' with a 6 pack in a cooler chilled and ready plus some munchies. As usual Chris did his usual extremely high quality work clearing and building it and the building pad area. Nice to know the property owner is going to replant new trees on part of it. I hope it's a nice mix of money trees. Both soft and hard wood trees. 10 to twenty years in the future selective cutting cash crop.

It seemed a little cold and wet out there Chris and in the warmer months it isn't fun picking bugs out of your teeth in the heat. I'm sure you know they did make D7Fs with fully enclosed cabs. In some scrap yard, some where in America there is one with a cab you could remove and restore. Adding air con and heat wouldn't be too difficult. There are lots of aftermarket solutions. I bet if anyone could find a cab, it would be Clinton or he could fab one.
