Spearmaster: A mutated abomination, having to eat out of spears and wait for the rain to end while in a shelter. Rivulet: A quick slugcat, having to run away from the fast rain. Saint: A pacifist, forced to ascend everyone, but himself.

Spearmaster: A strange messenger from afar, unable to eat like other creatures, but forced to gain nourishment from spears created from their own body. Rivulet: An aquatic creature, who can navigate through a land almost completely destroyed by frequent rain, who restores the health of a creation who was almost destroyed long ago. Saint: A fluffy pacifist, who could not defend themselves from dangerous creatures, eventually finding a power that could free others of their eternal pain.

this map made me notice just how _flexible_ slugcats are. they are able to switch between an unmistakably human posture and completely quadrupedic instantly. now I hc that due to their slug ancestry their bones are more malleable, and some weird bone structure in the hip area completely rearranges itself when they change posture.

It could also be possible there skeletons are made of cartilage as another explanation to their flexibility as they would still need some sort of skeletal structure to support a bipedal and/or a quadrupedal stance. Plus slug cats usually don’t get that large so their bodies aren’t too demanding on weight restrictions.

YESSS GOOD I said this on twitter I think but it makes me really happy to see the animation community for rainworld growing, and even happier to see something like this being made and completed. Honestly I didn't think there's be any rainworld focused maps in the foreseeable future, but lately more animations have been produced and now this. Every part is really well done and just so visually distinct and appealing. I dunno I wanna say more because this definitely deserves a lot of praise but Im kind of unable to find the words just I hope we get more projects like this in the future.

oh i love that this followed all three of the slugcats’ journeys! and that Monk reunited with Survivor at the end… I also really loved that one scene that showed the world in 3D, where Hunter and Monk were fighting things. It was beautiful and it made the world seem so real, like I could stand there. That one scene with Hunter and No Significant Harassment is so beautiful, too. and of course all of the other parts are amazing! those are just my favorites.

i have never EVER, seen a rain world animation better than this. and there’s tons of them! this is severely underrated and deserves way more attention. i like how everyone’s art-styles were incorporated into this project and it wasn’t just 1 person drawing, and i think it shows that everyone who were making this truly loved it. that’s all i have that i have to say, i think, and this deserves a lot more love.
