I can empathize. I am there too, and on top of that I live in a minivan with my 3 cats I had when we lost our rental due to mold. If it rains I'm unable to cook and mostly have to lie in bed. I cook ahead and eat cold food that is painful to get out of the cooler. But I relate to much of what you said. Staying positive is essential. ❤

My dog buddy is how I get motivated as well. He has to go out, he has to have his walks, so I have to take him, no matter how I’m feeling. I can’t do much while preparing for knee replacement surgery and being out of work is getting to me. I’d much prefer to not go out at all and just lay around feeling sorry for myself. I’m very lucky to have my dog who requires me to get motivated several times a day. You’re doing an awesome job, in spite of your “funk”. You got this!

Have you tried Castor Oil for your knees ?. Saw a post about this amazing Oil yesterday and a ladies comment about how this oil cured her knees. Rub it into them at every opportunity. Also sit on table and put a light ankle weight on and gently rock your legs backward only. Do this as often as you can to rebuild collagen in joints

Have lots of ice packs on hand for after that knee replacement. My best friend just had her second knee done a couple weeks ago and she's doing great but definitely having to ice it a lot. I sorry but I LOVE rainy days especially when I lived on my boat, the sound on the roof some so calming. And come back after getting soaked though was just as great, going from cold and wet to lighting the wood stove and heating soup on top with a kettle of water for tea was just the best. The warmth from the stove and the soup is a Undescribable great feeling of being warmed from the outside as well as inside. And then just laying back with the sound of the rain and log fire with my books and Hot chocolate just gave me so much peace and clam not I rarely have. And I have not slept very well after, I love getting into bed with the sounds and my hot water bottle bunny. Just the best sleep I could ever hope for. And it broke me that I lost my boat in a storm along with everything I had, coming home from work only to find the ropes and no boat. And now I have to start again trying to get a boat, but this time I will be trying for a full steal narrowboat and not a GRP one. Wish me luck please 🙏 And I really love you kitten, so happy a the window and sitting on your leg I just want to give him so much cuddles.

Try looking at it from the underside of dirt. Your van looks clean, you have food, your animal looks healthy and taken care of, you look clean, healthy, and can go to a gym, you have internet. It takes a few nickels to do those things, especially keeping your vehicle in gasoline. There are millions of people across this nation who are without a fraction of what you are living. Be grateful.
