Rainy Day Bird Photography

After two continuous weeks of rain and dull skies, I take my Sony A1 and FE 200-600mm out for some local birding and bird photography.

So relaxing Phil and a great set up. As I have said before I just love your delivery it is just what it is and no fuss, love it. The shots had were excellent and a first class selection of woodland offerings. Pity about the Hawfinch but heh ho the luck of the birder. Cheers Phil and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your video the best way to tell Marsh tit from Willow tit visually 90% of the time the mash tit has a white spot at the base of the Bill hope this helps you.

Hoping sony add bird eye af to video for the A1 would make things a little easier ,nice video phil .I also use a netted hide like yours but do not have a hat quite as good as yours and i am a bit of hat collector several camo versions

Yes I hope Sony puts bird eye detection in a firmware update. The hat works, even though I look like a prat in it!

I bought a little 3 legged folding stool, as I thought it would be easier to carry around, but not only is it a bit low and uncomfortable I keep falling off it. I was thinking about getting a camping chair. after watching this video I think you've helped me make up my mind. Is it just a bog standard one you use, or something a bit more robust?
