This is another video that brings back memory’s of living in my I use to park in the Home Depot parking lot at night and I would fall asleep to the sound of rain hitting the hood and roof of my Truck.I have so many stories of my experiences during my homelessness that I could write a book.One being a young lady that locked her keys in her car and could not get back in.It was really pouring at the time.It was late.I called he over to my truck and asked her what was wrong.She told me about her keys.She jumped in my truck to get out of the rain and called her sister with whom she was living.But her sisters phone was off and she couldn’t get through.I gave her a towel which I had along with a bunch of other cloths that I had in truck.She dried off.She ended up sleeping in the back seat..In the morning she contacted her sister.Her sister came down with a spare set of keys.

I remember me and my neighborhood friends would get together when it was raining and sit on the fence in front of my house, watching the rainfall with cars driving by. We mainly sat out there to listen to the thunder roar and count the lighting strikes we could see. It was so good back then, it was peaceful and nothing worries me back then. This video is very nostalgic for me because of that reason.

This helps me autistic child not fight sleep, he loves cars so it fills the room with ambient noise and the occasional car. He falls asleep so quick !!!

Geez, I moved from Houston to Southwestern Australia a few years ago, and I miss this kind of thunderstorm so much. I'm so sick of all the sun, the drought, and the inverted seasons in Australia.

Good vid! Has a homey feel to it. Sometimes I'll put a chair in front of my side window by my porch open a window and watch it rain and storm. Love the smell of rain.

That deep earthy fresh smell of rain actually has a name. It's called "petrichor," from the Greek words "petra," meaning "stone," and "ichor," which refers to the fluid that flows like blood in the veins of the gods. oils emitted by plants, and certain chemicals from bacteria, that lead to this smell you get after a rain following a long dry spell," When a raindrop hits a porous surface it traps tiny pockets of air these bubbles then speed upward, like bubbles in a glass of champagne, before breaking the drop's surface and releasing microscopic particles, called aerosols, How lucky we are to have rain on our planet and this delightful video.

As an autistic person, hearing rain and cars is super satisfying and calms me down. Hearing thunder and lightning can get loud, but it's still nice. Cool Video!

Lonnie Stevens Yes, I live in South London and we keep our front garden lovely and neat but our neighbours on both sides leave their gardening waste and other rubbish to blow around and generally look an eyesore. Some people are ok but generally most could do with a lot more civic pride. Strange really as the houses are all worth circa £700,000 so you’d think they would take pride but they seem to have an “I’m not picking it up” mentality, so I often end up sweeping up or picking up other people’s litter. I would love to live in a road like this.

this is GOLD. phenomenal idea TexasHD! Similar to most white-noise/asmr listeners, I have high functioning anxiety & slight agoraphobia.
