Richard thank you for your vids. I use to fish all the time for 60 years. For the past 10 years my health, and a car accident has had me confined to a lazy boy. I am 70 your vids has made me determined to get out and fish again. Can you help me? I am confined to bank fishing in murky water. I am unable to move around a lot and my time is very limited because of my strength limitation but hope that will change getting out more God willing. Can you give me some specific things that bank fisherman can do to improve their odds. I am extremely thankful for you videos and your family to allow you to get out and touch lives. This is way more than just about fishing. God Bless! Tom

I really wish that my pop or 1 of my grandpas would have had time to spend with me. A super bonus would have been that they had some fishing knowledge to pass along to me. I really enjoy your videos and I am trying to learn from them, but nothing could compare to firsthand learning. So many fishermen are sooooo secretive about how they catch fish. I thank you sir for not being one of those fishermen. Keep on sharing that knowledge Mr Richard "BECAUSE IT'S GOOD FOR YA".

I enjoy your videos immensely. I especially enjoy your style of fishing. You truly seem to enjoy every minute, even when you come out in adverse conditions. We always see you catch fish but we don't always know how much time you may have spent on the water. Another reason I enjoy these videos, you talk your way through every cast to let us know your strategy or what type of fish you may have caught... and you don't rush things.. and I think that is my favorite part. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. Keep up the good work!

Colors do change in the water....I "recon". Here in Central Fl, most lakes and rivers are tannin stained, and chartreuse is a very productive color. One day I put some lake water in a home aquarium and lowered a chartreuse jig into it, and it lost virtually all it's green hue, which led me to speculate that while there ARE times when fish want a loud color, more often they seem to want a quieter, more natural looking lure. If you lowered a clear jig you'd run the risk of it disappearing in stained water, and you don't want that. But the chartreuse was necessary to start with in order to be diffused to the color the fish sees when subject to the tannin (basically sepia) color of the water. Gold is excellent here also. The baitfish are colored by the stain in the water and take on a gold hue...sometimes even orang-ish on the belly in the rivers, and of course there are the orange belly panfish all over, but even tho, in the light of day it may be bright orange, in the tannin water it appears that same brownish sepia color.

My uncle thought I was snagged then my tiger Shakespeare rod just started singing mind you I was 10 years old. Fish was 18.5 inches I've been addicted to fishing ever since. I live in Michigan so the closest I get to anything in this nature is salmon fishing let me tell ya coho love to skip the top

@mrenfilade71785 жыл бұрын
@MachineGene This vid is a great example to *pause a count* and load up for your hook set as they load up on the trick lizard. What is the MAXIMUM time you feel comfortable letting them have the artificial lure in their mouth before you set the hook? Livebait you got a 5-15 second ideal hookset window, lets say, but whats that same ideal hookset window on artificials? Maybe it differs from trick worm to trick lizard to trick...whatever? Others, feel free to reply, too. 😎
