I can pull at places like this when I’m by my self and my confidence just plummets. There is so many presentations to pick from. I always end up going to a jig. And I’ll won’t catch a lot of fish but I will catch a few keepers. If I could stick to finesse lures I’d catch more eater size I’m sure. It’s so mental to pull up at a new place for me

I grewed up and love fishing with 4 inch Texas rigged zoom lizards thru sure do work, sadly my favorite color lizard can't be found anymore called the pb.and jelly, a natural brown and purple lizard, it was a hawg caller! Caught some big bass on them till I guess they stop making them, now I use jalapeno green and watermelon seed Wich is good. And let's not forget about the zoom 6 inch ribbon tail worms there good to. Lake St Clair is my favorite lake for smallmouth and luckily for me it only 20 minutes away from my house in the spring you can have 100 fish days in the spring with multiple 5 pounders and in northern Michigan there’s lakes with smallmouth you can only dream about with very little pressure
