Agreed 🤗 I'm 43 but I started to listen to the carpenters when I was 12, my grandma introduced me to them. I cried hearing Karen's voice because it is so beautiful. I cried even more when I found out she had passed ☹️ I listen to her almost everyday still. Greatest of all time ❤

However they performed Merry Christmas Darling which I was excited to see them perform my favorite Christmas song!!!! I was on cloud 9 that evening so excited and thrilled to watch them perform again!! An evening to remember!

The entire sound was perfect. Yes, she was the star of it, but he was as well in the studio. When the sax break comes in, it just pushes it up and she is every match for it with the vocal that cries out blues and blahs, really from the depths. An amazing artist - what a talent. Still one of my top ten concerts in the spring of 1974.
