The Roman Mithras attributed their beliefs themselves to the Persian religion. The ancient Persians valued Mithra as the God of truth and contract, and placed Mithra above and beyond the God of Good and the God of Evil

The Cult of Mithras is also a Mystery Cult as in their Practices are not publicly known and are only prevy to its members but we can make assumptions, it maybe a military one as members are mostly men, they may have sacrificed bulls ect. They also existed with Early Christianity.( their decline was also probably due to Rome fighting Persia so, worshiping a Persian God would have probably not been appealing)

My guess in Raised by Wolves Persia and Rome somehow united (which can explain the very high tech) or/and Christianity just never existed. BTW they also mention Sol Invictus another Roman diety so my guess is Sol got mixed in with Mithras in this timeline at one point.

It's cool in the show they use "Sol Invicta" and then in real life it was "Sol Invicto" and "Invicta Mythrae." Cool that they based it on an actual religion

Fun fact they are the competing religions to Early Christianity, my guess is that in Raised by Wolves Christianty never existed (as it was very popular to common and lower class people) and Rome somehow remained in power and probably has either join forces with or Conqured Persia (which could explain the high tech) as the Cult of Mithras was Persian in origin. And somewhere down the line Mithras and Sol became associated with one deity.

is there a extended music intro for the Raise by Wolves series? Also what is the back story of the war on this serie? From what i see is a war from the religious vs the non religious... But i don´t understand how that might has happend? Is the Mithraic religion some fanatical cult? from what i was seeing they won the war vs non believers but the planet was destroyed... all plants where destroyed on the process... But how they come to be? this is not so in the far future ... so its seems pretty implausible...
