I love the Eric Hansen clip. I was watching his stream when he threw that chair, the unbridled intensity was palpable. Chess and poker are great for giving us all opportunities to grow ourselves by channeling the intense emotions into positive thoughts. GL HF.

is folding bad at 19:00 with 77 on the flop?
@RaiseYourEdge3 жыл бұрын
UTG will still be c-betting fairly wide to fold out all our broadways and BB's trash, if we start folding these pairs we are folding a ton. While he also bets worse hands for value/protection like A6s, A3s

so with Aces he blocks AQ but you say that you won't have AQ there as its check raising flop; so he blocks a hand that he beats but that you wont have anyway. Doesn't that make the fact he blocks AQ irrelevant?
@NoWayFolding3 жыл бұрын
12:55 Yes having Qx blocks your opponent from having 2pairs, but AA has more equity when you get all in.
@RaiseYourEdge3 жыл бұрын
AA and Qx should have similar Equity because villain is jaming 2pair and better only for value. And with AA you dont block value but some bluffs.

Why isn't anyone talking about GG Poker's shitty structures? Like WTF are they doing, in a high roller tournament which is not even a hyper, the average stack is 9BB? How disrespectful is that?

What was so insane about that A6 overcall on turn @06:11? I really don´t understand. He had a decent hand that could be good in that siutation since it was a very small turnbet. People could easily have straighdraws, flushdraws or 22, 33, 44, 76s, 86s. A shitload of bad rivers for that hand for sure so I can see a reraise makes sense. But then you risk getting 4-bet off your equity by KQ or someone who goes nuts with a open ender or flushdraw (it is the sunday storm after all) and you have to fold. I just don´t see A6 as an insane call. Call, see a cheap river cheap and go from there. If you hit A or 6 you can also get paid by quite a lot of hands. Not saying it was a good play, but always nice to hear other peoples opinions
@blakejohnston18703 жыл бұрын
He shouldn't have A6o pre flop. That's the biggest leak. Over calling a delay bet and call is burning money on the turn too though
@thoos1923 жыл бұрын
@@RaiseYourEdge Preflopp I agree, that call was terrible. Turn, I would call myself for that betsize and probably bluffcatch if river bricks. But it sounds like I need to rethink that spot, you know the game much better than I do. I am just a recreational for a reason ;-). Thanks for your input and great content, much appreciated. I am a RYE-student and trying to improve my game
@thoos1923 жыл бұрын
Just to make it clear: Probably bluffcatch does not mean I will do it for sure, depends on betsize and if I feel my opponent might bluff a brick river. I would actually hope for a check down on river and bring a small pot home most of the time in that situation
