Ashley the anointing was all over this video. I’ve been watching for years and years but I don’t comment much and I just had to come and say this touched me. I know this word was brought forth from the Lord to help other parents. It’s so full of wisdom, I may go back and watch it again. Thank you for the encouragement and help you are to your community ❤ And I love to hear how God is using you in the youth department. All those years of teaching yourself and your kids and now you get to share with others. How beautiful!

I value so much the wisdom you share! I was raised in a Christian home to parents who served and ran a Christian school. Many things were modeled well, except parenting unfortunately. I know they did their best, and I am not resentful in any way. My brother, and the rest of the staff kids all feel the same, the staff kids just kind of got pushed to the side. They also left topics that partents should be teaching their kids to the school to teach us, and that didn't happen either. You (and others) have taught me some awesome lessons that I longed for from my parents. The healing has come by being able to give to my kids what I longed for. You are about 10 years ahead of me, and I truly appreciate what you share. Thank you so much!

Hi Ashlee. I’m 4 minutes in this video and I had to pause to say thank you for posting this here and not only to your membership. I had to cancel all my subscriptions due to financial reasons and I really miss your membership videos. But this is exactly what I needed to hear at this exact moment. I’m not a homeschool mom but it’s been heavy in heart to pull my 6 year old out of school and start homeschooling next school year. some days I’m all for it and others I have so many doubts. I’m really torn and listening to you is so encouraging. Just wanted to let you know I appreciate you. 😊

Off topic, but I wish you could just come decorate my house. We just moved into an older home, and im having such trouble decorating with the older style that needs many renovations. Loved this video. So many thoughts. My kids are older, 18 and 15, and there are SO many things that I wish I had done differently when they were younger. I try not to focus on it and just do the best that I can now. We are always learning and growing right along with our kids. I believe I was saved when i was 16, but didnt really understand many things fully until i was 40 and lost my mom unexpectedly. Her death caused me to do some major soul searching. It is never too late to make changes and turn things around. I hope and pray that my kids have seen the changes in me the last few years as God has been working on me.

I dfinitely agree about guarding our children's hearts. I feel like it takes on greater importance in the teen years, especially with all the confusion and messaging geared towards our children about gender and identity, not to mention how they are relating more through technology than in person. Such a generational difference than when I was growing up. Imparting the necessity of using a discerning heart and mind and turning toward the Lord for guidance is a daily exercise. Thank you for your words of wisdom and encouragement!

Unfortunately, there is always this misconception that because it's "church kids" they will be different than "normal kids." They should be living by a different standard, but we are all flawed. When inwas growing up some of the most rebellious and disobedient kids I hung around with, were from church. I think we just have to use discernment in who our kids hang around with regardless of their background. It's a tough call for sure. Sorry you are dealing with this.

I love this! Thank you for sharing. My greatest prayer and desire is for my children to know, love, and walk closely with the Lord all the days of their lives. He has been teaching me a lot about giving Him control over the lives of my children and trusting him fully with their future. It’s not an easy lesson to learn as a mom seeing all the craziness happening in the world. One of my children is also autistic so that adds an extra element of worry and opportunity to allow fear to creep in.

I’m so glad you posted this! I’ve been struggling with this topic…my oldest is 12 unfortunately has heard things from friends ( who are public schooled)at church ( we’ve always homeschooled) that are just mind blowing and so upsetting that I e had to answer questions. My child has been very disturbed by some of these things and it breaks my heart. My child is saved and is very serious about Christ. I’m struggling with HOW I handle this with it being said from church friends!

Such wonderful information to take in. I will say I have never liked that quote, "You are not your child's friend." You got me to look at it differently this morning. More like, "Be your child's leader and set an example." At least that's how I took it. Definitely going to checkout World Watch News.❤

My oldest is 15 and has gotten his permit. He's begging for a job and a cell phone with internet but we have said no to both until he is 16. It's hard being the parent sometimes because I hate saying no lol. We love masterbooks resources for apologetics. Apologetics is one of our main focuses in our homeschool. This world is too anti God for christian families not to focus on it

My kids are 18 and 15 and we have said no to any social media until they are 18. A lot of people think I'm crazy, but it is just unnecessary drama. We started them on old school flip phones and then let them upgrade to regular smart phones after a few years.

I have an almost 8yr old boy and a 5yr old girl. I feel like we need to start safe body talks with him specifically, I purchased God's Design for Sex series just feeling unsure if it's the right time. We will definitely start with book 1 even at his age because of immaturity.

One question, don't you believe in the "billions of years staff" like you say? I found the problem in Geology and the age of certain stone formations not only in the evolution of species.
@GraceandGritАй бұрын
No, I believe in a young earth and always have.
@Tricia11-i3kАй бұрын
@@GraceandGrit The question was because we saw a documentary about the construction of the Empire State Building some months ago. It talks about the stone that was utilized on the façade. Indiana limestone was formed from calcium carbonate deposits that were deposited over millions of years as marine fossils decayed. At that time, I was happy to have never taught a young Earth.

Yes, that verse is not for children. Jesus was an adult when he started his ministry! Why send a boy to do a mans job???!!
