I love this plant! I found the super narrow form with three head-size leaves. I transitioned it by way of water to Pon and it's been hanging out for about five months doing nothing. No signs of growth, no pests, I clean the leaves monthly... Bright indirect light (grow lights - my bedroom plants are all on nothing but grow lights and are thriving!) I love my Vietchii and, if it's like a lot of Anthurium, it just needs time to get it's roots settled before it gives me growth. I do have it in no drainage with LECA reservoir... Maybe it wants to go drier?

Great assessment! Agree with it being easy. Mine are some of the most forgiving in my collection. It travels well too (or has for me) and after my usual 24 hours in water with superthrive I just pot up in aroid mix & let it do its thing. The 'seedlings' from ecuagenera are a nice size if anyone is looking to buy one on a budget (or low on space yet impatient like me).

Thank you, Emma! Glad to know you're having the same experience with the Anthurium. They're indeed forgiving and easy to care for! I'll have to check out the 'seedlings' from ecuagenera, thanks for the tip! 🌿😊

I have just bought 8 viechii seeds that have germinated and putting out their first wee tiny bubby leaves. SO cute. But yeah I’ve been wondering how many will make it past 6 months LOL

It’s not as expensive anymore but I don’t recommend it. Everybody is saying it’s easy not temperamental BUT I have no success with it. THREE times. Had two seedlings and now a medium size and it keeps dying. And I don’t know why. Or probably got tired of it already. My PSS is a lot lot more easier. And yes it’s is now available here in Asia and the Philippines- love it.

Hi Lorna, sorry to hear about your struggles with the veitchii. Sometimes certain plants just don't jive with us or our environment, and that's okay. It's all part of the plant parent journey! And glad to hear your PSS is thriving. Happy planting! 🌱😊

Agree 100 percent on your assessment. It's been the easiest anthurium in my collection and probably one of the easiest plants overall. As long as it's in a fast-draining mix, it's a winner. Thanks for making the vid.

I don’t know if I’m late noticing but the audio is really crisp/sounds great! I got a smallish plant rooted in moss from ecuagener/FL. After a few leaves, I up potted it into an orchid basket with chunky aroid mix. It sized up pretty well. It was a slower grower, maybe a leaf every 3ish months. I always hear how easy it is. I was getting crispy tips so I put it in plastic with a very slightly more dense aroid mix but still really chunky. The roots looked good, but looking back maybe I missed some dry rot. That was in February (spring for me) and it lost several older leaves completely from crisping from the tip up to the top. No new growth. It seemed to get transplant shock. I am still waiting for it to acclimate. Not as easy as I was expecting but it is very beautiful and worth the extra effort in my opinion. I am interested to see in the comments other peoples experiences.

I used Superthive (picture of the old man on the bottle) 1 tea spoon per gallon of distilled water to decrease a shock after repotting. And I found that the whole plant condition improved and a new leaf arrived less than in one week.
