You guys are fantastic and so honest! I did this same lifestyle with my son on my own. I really appreciate your vlog, brings back great memories. My son is 20 and we are planning our next adventure together and things we will do separately as well but all the time we spent as a family of two on the road made us really close and respectful and appreciative of each other. More power to you both! Looking forward to your future vlogs.

Thank you! Our goal is for our kids to still want to adventure with us when they are 20! That is amazing! Thanks for sharing that with us it’s so encouraging!!

Been there many times, long before it became known and touristy. It was my favorite place away from home, very quiet and local, the only tourists came on ferries every day from Cancun wearing fluorescent wristbands and spent 4 hours rampaging around...they would leave and it would return to quiet. Spent many many sunsets on the roof of the Vistalmar and we even decided isla was the perfect place to be for y2k....it was, countdown to midnight in the plaza happened 3 times, everyone so drunk and no ones watch on correct time but who cared? Tranquillo....step off the ferry on Isla mujeres and all your stress fades away.

great... we have 2 daughters... I used to preach them .. but now I realise the best way is to be the person you want them to be.. be calm, don't react to everything impulsively etc... they will be the same as you handle life... most of it atleast.. so be the change you wanna see..

Parenting is hard and honestly, we are all just winging it. I’ve homeschooled for 4 years now (2 kiddos) and work full time from home. It’s like you said, regardless of your situation, whether you are a stay at home parent, work at home, work out of the home, homeschool, or your kids leave home for school, they all all present their different challenges and we all just want to do our best. You have to give yourself grace and always aim to be better. We ruin our kids when we don’t check ourselves and it sounds like you guys are pretty self aware.

Being a parent is not easy and I just take it one day at a time. I only have 1 kid and I would say it is very challenging.

What are your thoughts regarding Covid in Isla Mujeres right now? Do you have a concern traveling with your daughters and what area of the island are you staying?
