I’m glad you know that one video is enough. I’m sure folk have no idea what goes into what you do. Keep it manageable so it stays fun. This effort is gargantuan! Thank you for taking us with you 💞

One video a week is hard to do when you are working so hard on the house! Anyone that has done this type of work would realize this as well. Obviously, a demand for more is just not considerate or realistic. You are making good progress & the videos are great. Nice to see Heather being her wonderful self. ❤ Love that giggle! 😊 Lots of love you guys ❤🇨🇦🙏🏼 Keep on keepin on. 😎

Just a thought: we have sections of tongue and groove walls and a tongue and groove ceiling above the beams as in the original ceiling in your house. Our builder nailed all boards through the tongue, so the fixing is almost invisible. Your house is coming together beautifully, rewarding all that effort. Congratulations.

The Aluminum foil wrap is a radiant barrier. It reflects radiant heat. You have a air space between it and the foam insulation. The heat penetrating the attic and foam is reflected from whence is came. As long as air can pass over it and exit, it will carry away radiant heat in addition to blocking moisture. We had one in our home in Arizona and our attic was 20 degrees F cooler than our neighbors. It lowers cooling costs.

Wow Brady, I don’t know how you manage to work on scaffolding and albeit not so stable scaffolding. I’m with Heather. I would be scared to work under such precarious conditions. However, you continue to amaze me with all you manage to do by yourself. I think what impresses me the most is how patient you are during stressful situations and how when time is available, you let the girls be involved as helpers rather than making them feel in the way. You and Heather both seem great at that! The van build video was just too cute. 🥰

Canada found out many years ago that if you seal up homes 100% then you get a home that doesn't breathe. That is an UNHEALTHY situation for the people living in those homes. A home has to breathe. It's especially important in the winter time when people are cooped up. : ) P.S., There is a mathematical formula for home many ceiling lights you need.

I’m happy to receive one video a week, even though you’re one of my favorite channels. I’ve been made aware of how much work it is to film and edit one of these episodes and don’t feel as though I am entitled to more than you can do. Thanks for sharing your journey, however much or little you feel like it. The ceiling looks great without the beams, as someone else said less cluttered, and you have all the interest of the stone walls already, so the beams aren’t really needed. Plus, you can always add them later if you want to.😊

I live in a particularly high moisture environment, because I live on a small lake in a very small house. I had to stop using wood dressers to store my clothes, because wood mildews and it ruined my clothes. I just store everything in clear plastic bins now instead. Louvers ( open shutters that allow air circulation ) on all interior doors also helps.

Dear Both, I’ve been with you almost from the beginning. I’m in awe of your hard work and foresight. Could I suggest that you place a Time Capsule somewhere in the house? Hidden in a wall cavity or roof space? The girls would LOVE to contribute to it, as well as research how to keep it air & watertight for 100 years plus. A letter on how and who restored the house, maybe some photos too. It would be your contribution to the history of the house. Xx😊

In the kitchen I hate working in my shadow so I always want under cupboard lighting. Sometimes that’s the only lighting that I turn on depending on what I am doing in the kitchen. But I really like having a light over the sink when washing dishes by hand and lights for when I am working on the counter.

You only need 2 brads not 3... Save a 1/3 of your Labour & Brads: 1st nail middle of board (as tongue & grove holds all but 1st course), top & last brad at base of tongue on downwards angle. Added bonus is only 1 brad will mar face of boards instead of 3/joist .

Why not install all the lights, and just wire them so that you can turn them on and off in banks? 2 switches controlling 6 lights each, or 3 switches controlling 4 lights each? That would give you lots of lighting options.
