Trolls got a sequel because it was a surprise hit, it got a second sequel out of pity because the pandemic prematurely took it out of theaters, the third film was totally enabled by dumb parents, and, a fourth film is planned, hopefully, this franchise doesn't receive undeserved reprieves again, that's that.

The Button of Doom" short is a better Megamind sequel than this, and the only true one in my opinion. Doom Syndicate will never be Megamind 2, it's a cheap, poorly written pilot to a cheaper, more poorly written show. If they had marketed it as such instead of Megamind's big return, no one would've cared about it. And I won't care either. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't exist.

Ok. Here’s a wired rewite of the story. After the first movie events played out. Megamind has been actually doing well for the past seven years (it could be three) he’s has been stopping crime left and right and has a planned marriage to roxanne. One day there was a bank robbery by reptile. A guy who is ether wearing a suit or is a mix of some reptiles like snakes turtles and crocodiles. He tries to get reptile by using the spider bot but got the jump from him. Reptile tackles megamind of the spider bot and into a near by sewer tunnel. He struggles against reptile and eventually got yeted out of the water. He tried to use his dehydration gun but was wrap around and crushed in his hand by the reptile’s tail. Before rep could do anything minion hits him with the forget me stick. Reptile fell unconscious. Megamind is glad that minion came at the right time but was not happy to see his dehydration gun being destroyed. But minion was still glad that his friend was still alive. A couple of hours later. Megamind places reptile to container. He build doum like cells to keep unknown criminals in check. The guy who runs the prison in the first movie. Can’t remember his name. Thanks Megamind for the approvements around the prison. Megamind of course takes this as a compliment but still worries that this criminal activity won’t stop anytime soon. Some hours later he gets back to his lab again and meets roxanne. They both hug and kiss each other. They discussed thier marriage comingup and the amount of criminal activity that has been happening. Megamind a sures that they can stop it from going any further. Until boom! A hole in a wall. Megamind, Roxanne, and minion who was entering lab noticing a group of radtag villans called the doom syndicate and that’s where this half rewrite ends. You can see and change a few things about it. Other wise that’s all I got. Bye.

I think it’s an important lesson to recognize that companies will mess up. Back then, people were putting DreamWorks on a pedestal, while shaming Disney. But here’s the thing. They are both companies, and they both will have their ups and downs. And DreamWorks has the potential to make great stuff and terrible stuff, much like Disney can also make good stuff and bad stuff. And I think the sequel perfectly demonstrates why I never 100% trust companies. Nevermind 2 is garbage, and a complete desecration to the original. Megamind (2010) is actually really good, having great animation, great characters, and a fun plot. But everything changed with Nevermind 2. The influencer girl is irritating, Megamind went from compelling and smart, but a little bit egotistical, to essentially rip-off Boom Sonic without any of the charm that Boom Sonic has (the reason why I’m comparing him to Boom Sonic is because he specifically reminds me of him. I truly wish I was watching Sonic Boom instead) with stupidity added in for extra frustration. Roxanne went from a fun reporter to a person who wants to quit her job, and I’m going to explain it the MrEnter way.. “because potatoes”. And Chum…they have ruined Megamind and it shows. Speaking of shows, the TV show is completed and utter garbage. From Megamind to Nevermind, I tell ya. And DreamWorks, shame on you. >:(
