The RS Q8 is the top dog when it comes to Audi's performance SUVs. This SUV competes with the Dodge Durango Hellcat, BMW X5 M, and Lamborghini Urus. On the outside you will find 23in wheels, sport exhaust and carbon fiber accents. On the inside you will be greeted to a full leather interior. Under the hood is a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 pumping out 591HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2022 Audi RS Q8 the KING of performance SUVs?

Great review! Took out an RS7 the other day. Basically the same vehicle, just lower. You’re right - totally insane. Touch the throttle and you are at jail time speeds. But even at lower speeds, keeping that V8 rpm up by shifting yourself makes a glorious sound. 😍

The color definitely works, but I'm liking the Alpina XB7 better - three rows, more power, those unique Alpina wheels and just as nimble and planted as this. I actually wish BMW offered orange as an option in their individual configurator for the XB7 - a Fire Orange III would match the Audi color here.

Porsche designed the suspension for the Q8’s (5link rear)and the lambo has the exact same chassis and footprint 👌🏼muffler delete and tune.. she going crazy! 💯🔥

Best looking vehicle in class, don’t mind the colour but I wouldn’t pick if I was ordering one. The front callipers are 10 piston not 6, these run the 48 volt subsystem and it power the electric anti roll bars hence the resistance to body roll. I don’t know if it was under the dealership request but you didn’t use launch control, they go much harder when you do. It’s at the very least highly competitive in its class, the X5M is a teeny bit quicker but there’s not much in it, the Urus is quicker too but not enough quicker for the extra money. The Porsche Cayenne GT is definitely quicker and less of a financial leap than the Urus and is probably my favourite vehicle in this segment but as an all round vehicle with good looks the RS Q8 is difficult to beat.

Audi owner🙋🏻‍♂️ since 2010 and we have never had reliability problems so every time I've read comments yapping about reliability I wonder if they've owned one and if so, how they treated it. We do all the scheduled maintenance like oil filter tire rotations etc., and outside of that, I've never experienced reliability problems

I have a 2019 Q8. It's my 8th Audi going back to 1985 when stationed in Germany. Can't do an RSQ8 yet but possibly in 2 to 3 years.

I’m about to buy a ‘19 q8 In bronze, which I think is the same color of this RsQ8, at least it looks same to me. I have ‘13 q7 I bought during pandemic car shortage, it was available and I needed a ride, and I bought it w/o knowing anything about Audi. Then I find out it’s one of the worse Audis reliability wise, to own, and I was waiting for it breakdown, but it never did. Got like 135k miles on I haven’t put a dime into it, except oil changes, and polish and waxes…lol. I love how it drives, it’s so nice, and even though it’s a little underpowered, considering it has a supercharged 3.0. I thought about getting a ecu stage 1 tune, but that’s not really my thing. I’ve never owned a car as nice as the $50k 19 q8 I’m looking at, I’m super excited. I recently got promoted at work, and a couple weeks ago a bronze Q8 was parked beside me, and I’d never seen one, but I was like ‘I’m going to get one of those’…unless they were outrageously expensive. I was going to get a q5 hybrid, but I fell in love with the Q8. As far as I’m concerned Audi makes some of the best looking vehicle on the road. Good luck with the up-grade in couple years, I’m sure you’ll love it 😃

I am 6’-5” tall and found the Q7/8 to have much more room inside, particularly more second row leg room after I put front seats back. Reliability scares me as it is a Volkswagen at heart!

I am DIGGING the color more now that I see the orange fleck to it ...before it looked like a McNugget Buddy! I'd def appreciate the roof rails, put a Yakima Skybox Carbonite carrier on there and pack up the snowboards to hit Whistler. Maybe see if there is a carbon fiber hood for it, Black & Orange like my Orioles.

Really enjoy your vids! I love the Dragon Orange but my wife can’t do loud, so we compromised on Galaxy Blue for our Q8. It’s a very beautiful blue-green with large metallic flakes - gets a lot of positive comments. My advise, go with the S8 version for a good balance of performance and economy (including V8 rumble). Who am I kidding, none of these gets good MPG, but the RS returns battleship low numbers. We average about 22 MPG in our 5,300 lb Q8 with its 340 hp turbo 6 cylinder. She moves well enough when you nail it. If you don’t need 500 or 600 hp, just get the regular Q8; dressed in the S-line package with black trim, air suspension and 22” rims, you can barely tell it apart from the S and RS versions. Audi really didn’t do enough to differentiate these aesthetically.

Beautiful performance SUV and the orange color is nice way better than some of the burnt orange on others. Also not hiding the rear wiper is not an issue. Based on the design it wouldn't fit under upper rear overhang especially with the 3rd brake light right in the middle. People buy these for there performance but also for the appearance as well so some of the fake/mock vents give the vehicle a nice look. A zonk to you is a plus to others so to each their own.

Nice review, I bought my wife one last year. Its a rocket ship for sure. I noticed you experienced the "rolling lag" hers does when you stomp it while just going 1-6mph its like it falls on its face for a couple seconds and has to get itself together. It has also had some other issues such as getting in the vehicle to start it and you push the brake then push the button and all the lights light up like normal but the engine doesnt turn over or start. multiple times in a row sometimes taking 15-30 minutes of entering/exiting the vehicle locking / unlocking for it to finally start up like nothing ever happened. We have also experienced the rear view camera not working at times, the screen randomly flashing warning signs that some features arent available or are at fault, check engine lights on and off randomly and lastly the other night every light on the vehicle went out while she was driving in the dark including everything on the dash minus a very small red caution triangle 0.0 This blew my mind and was crazy dangerous. When it works right its a ton of fun but we've had it in the dealership a lot for all of these problems and so far they have said " we are aware of this / these problem but have no way of fixing it at this time 0.0

What a car, nice and solid and fast. Personally I do not like the colour here, yuck. I could never afford one. With some miraculous amount of luck, in about a months time, I have a chance to win this RS Q8 AND the RS Q3 (plus some gold bullion which I would need that to pay for the insurance and petrol for the next few years). Now that would be bloody amazing! Sell the Q3 and keep this monster Q8 😃

Absolutely love this suv. Audi knocked it out of the park with this model, the looks, the performance, everything you want. Its not very spacious inside, but its close to what you will find in competition in its class. Im not sure why it's being compared to the Durango (since that is a 3 row SUV in completely different class) A better comparison would be the grand Cherokee track hawk which by the way is still roomier than q8 lol
