Theirs not a single perfromace metric where it beats this car. Not really sure how u came to that conclusion. Only thing u can say is u like the looks of the blackwing better which is an opinion of why u would choose it. Albeit I think this looks better and the caddy just gives an older generation vibe to it. I see why younger people would prefer this and older would prefer the Cadillac

Incorrect. The BMW is the better luxury car. Blackwing the better sports sedan. Even the slower manual variant has better track times at Willow Springs than the M5CS and M3 CSL. The automatic would embarrass any stock BMW on a track. An AWD is going to spank a Blackwing at the stop light rally. The handling, steering feel, engine noise, manual option all favor the Blackwing. The M is a better and more expensive luxury car. If I want a sports sedan, I take the Blackwing. I'm not quite old enough to give up the track but when I do, I'll plan to go pure luxury with something like Aston Martin.

@@rdollie1 the new g8x m3 and m4 comp are better track cars then the ct5 blackwing and are faster in straight line acceleration considerably. Just watch top gear base m3 manual vs ct5v blackwing. The base m3 manual lost too the blackwing on the track by 0.25th of a second. The guy said the m3 felt alot more nimble and had better steering. So after that test of the base m3 clearly the m3 comp or m4 comp would blow the ct5v blackwing out the water in both straight lines and on track. The m5 is a 5 year old platform and it weighs alot more then the nimbleness of a new m3 or m4. But I will say where the m5 loses on track by a mere second it makes up for it by absolutely blowing the blackwings doors off from any type of dig or roll test.

I'd still take the CT5-V just for the 6 speed manual, sure this is quicker but the CT5-V can do over 200 MPH The trunk size isn't a concern as I'm going to drop $10,000 into the sound system as that's really my thing and have that in my Cadillac now, but a 3 cubic foot sealed 2 12" sub box with a amp rack and the trunk space is used up

CT5-V Blackwing without a question, that is a beast and V8 Chevy Pushrod LT4 engine that is super reliable, also if you have that much cash and skill why not go Manual with that Supercharged engine over this M5 which won't last anywhere near to that American V8. That engine is used on Corvette Z06 but in CT5-V it's better equipped because no DCT unreliable mess but a Tremec Manual shifter. It's no contest. Period. Oh also this BMW and like all modern BMWs it has fake engine noise all the way pumped up.

Ignorance. You can code out the ASD in-cabin exhaust sound. Plus, if you care about straight line performance, the chicken wings gets smoked. Hell, I love gapping those things with my M3. Fit and finish is better as well with the M5 and it’s not made by a bunch of monkeys from Detroit. Next Wednesday the new M5 will be unleashed and it will only further gap that chicken wing.

I prefer the looks inside and out on the M8. I think it’s the last really good looking BMW. M5 is nice, but a bit bland to me. Agree it performs similarly to M5 so you are paying for appearance. I can see why others would choose the M5.

I do love both cars but BMW build is just different...And I work on a lot of vehicles. A lot of other company's copy the formula for BMW M3 and M5 mostly. They have yet to copy the full formula. Great video as always guy 👍.

As a daily driver the M5 all day every day. Its faster, has a much more luxurious interior and most importantly is all wheel drive. My past 6 cars have been rear wheel drive V8 cars with my last one being an '18 ZL1. I now have an M3xdrive and the all wheel drive is unbelievable. I can put the power down anytime, all the time whether its a stop light or going around corners. The grip it has entering and especially exiting corners is 2nd to none for any high hp rear drive car. I dont think I will ever own a car that's not all wheel drive now.

The good news is that BMW is having a quality rebound. If you need a car this fast and can afford it, lease it, just to be safe. But it is quite an impressive machine. M-5's have always been my favorite choice, a '93 M5 German Spec. Straight 3.5L. Loved it, but it ate Super Bleifrei German gas like it was free. (Nicht Gut, meine Freunde!)

Its a fun car no doubt but I personally would go with a new CT5-V Blackwing. The internet shows a new 2024 M5 Competition price can be around $250,000 ! While a 2024 CT5-V Blackwing starts at around $100k - $110k.

The Black Wing is a much better car than the BMW and most scars out there. I currently own one and I've since updated a lot to the car as far as horsepower goes and I'm pushing close to 1,000 horsepower with it which is insane and feels amazing.

I don't care what anyone says, the facelift of the F90 M5 is the most beautiful version of the M5 in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, the E39 M5 is also beautiful, but something about the F90 just looks more elegant. I suppose it's the overall smooth design of the car as opposed to the more boxy design of the E39. It's just a shame that the design department of BMW is pumping out these controversial designs that look as if once a year goes by it'll age poorly. The new 5-Series is one of the least affected by this, but I still don't see its design aging all that well given the amount of gloss trim pieces BMW has been aimlessly adding onto their vehicles. I'm looking at you, new X3 and those rear reflectors placed inside the gloss back trim.

The ct5-V is a better drivers car but the M5 is a better sports “executive” sedan. You can only make a car so good with an automatic transmission and all wheel drive. Takes those two away from the f90 m5 and it becomes a better car
