I've been to Raja Ampat twice now. Both times in the South Misool. Absolutely love it! Will definitely go back, but want to check out the north next time. Granted you can go to different areas of the world for specific dives, but when it comes to just awesome overall diving with an abundance of coral, critters, and pelagics, Raja Ampat is by far the best diving in the world!

Why should you be an advanced diver? Are the dives deeper than 18 meters or are currents particularly strong? Raja Ampat looks wonderful.

It's wonderful that you visited West Papua. Take time to learn about its history, as it's still under Indonesian colonial control. The 1969 Act of Free Choice was controversial. Some argue that the US overlooked West Papua's struggle for democracy. Kennedy sold out the West Papuans. What's new? USA SUCKS! I suggest researching more about it. Raja Ampat, located in West Papua, is a beautiful place, but human rights violations persist to this day in 2023. The Indonesian government seems to suppress the region's history and resources are exploited without benefiting the local population. Let's stand up and raise awareness for West Papua's plight.
