The documentary is well done. But here are some of the things I would like to point out: 1) the temple shown in Delhi was not a Jain temple but a gurudwara 2) for others who haven't seen India, while visiting Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is a must. 3) there are other places in Rajasthan which are a must visit like Jaisalmer, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Kumbhalgarh, Boondi and Bikaner.

So very, very true dear! What those early British Colonizers did, is absolutely nothing short of serious theft! They just went wherever they pleased & did pretty much whatever they wanted & to whoever they wanted. Back then, they got away with blue murder, as we say here in the West. IMPO,, I think it was absolutely & utterly SHAMEFUL!!! It's so funny, how many early European/Caucasian Historians, have cleverly & cunningly whitewashed or even omitted early non-European global history, specifically, amazing African history, yet, when they wanted to point out, any shortcomings from any non-European/Caucasian countries, they did & with great relish! lol Yes, it's so cruel, so ridiculous & equally laughable. All in all we must never forget, the many prior historical atrocities, for it all shaped our world & where we all are today & even who we all are.

Please don't judge! You don't know what he personally endured. None of us know what anyone endures & we don't know with 100% certainty ever, why people do what they do, except they. He very clearly adored his wife & that's very obvious, otherwise he'd never have built such an amazing & grand monument to honour her memory. Life was very different back then, specifically within this global region & he'd have wanted to make sure, that his precious & innocent child/infant had a primary female caregiver. They were obviously very close, as they'd been together for years & his wife's death, would've left him broken hearted. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, clearly loved and cherished his wife, regardless of the negative hype you'll sometimes hear. So much so, that in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who very sadly died in childbirth in 1631, he built the Taj Mahal in her memory. She'd been the emperor's inseparable companion since their marriage in 1612, so they clearly had a long term and established relationship.

Very interesting documentary & is absolutely & utterly wonderful & breathtaking from start to finish. I just love India! One of the world's most incredible & amazing countries & for countless reasons, bur for the most part to me, because of it's very important place in global history & it's amazing architecture, cultures, food, diverse ethnic groups & their respective languages, it's colours, sights, sounds/music & finally, it's the peoples of India that really make it what it is culturally. I'm totally curious about India & equally intrigued by this country. Thanks for sharing & I hope more people will visit India. IMPO, it's one of the world's greatest educative schools. Fun fact: India is now the world's most populous country & yet, is still the world's most vegetarian & vegan friendly country, with approximately 39% being vegetarian & 9% being vegan. IMPO, I think that's really saying something about Indian people & their historical attitudes toward food, because of their religious beliefs, for the most part. Eating plant based foods, is very historically rooted in three of India's prominent religions. Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. These 3 religions, believe in the concept of Ahimsa. This means the practicing of kindness and non-violence towards all living things, hence why you will so often see, the cow being granted full freedom to walk around towns/villages & being treated with great reverence by locals. The lessons of life & death also come to mind. A visit to the sacred Ganges River, especially if done over a series of days as I did, will quickly open Western eyes to daily life, death & the ensuing practice of cremation. I found it all an incredibly moving experience. I was also incredibly impressed, by how very hard locals work across India. In many ways, it can put many a Westerner to shame. I can only show respect & praise toward such people & I take my hat off to them. IMPO, I think that we can often complain about our own woes, but when compared to what many in India must endure, we can then start to really appreciate what we have & that our lives aren't so difficult or even bad. A visit to India, will surely help us to put things into greater perspective & this includes our own personal lives.
