Hi Raj! I'm confused whether to buy the Standard 500 or the Classic 500. I read somewhere back in 2014 that the Standard does not have a linear throttle response, which makes it jumpier than the Classic when accelerating quickly. Not sure whether the current model is similar. Which of the two (Standard 500 v Classic 500) would you recommend? Also, can we modify the Standard 500 seat and make it a single-seater motorcycle? Hello Raj ! Nice video, but changing the exhaust on a brand new bike before the run in/break in period is not recommended by many experienced mechanics or bullet maestros. Wont it affect the engine performance along with drop in mileage ?

Hi Praveen, The cost as mentioned is INR 2700/- only the purchase fitting ++, I do not find any difference my bikes average, someday will surely break that myth, yes it is safe to replace exhaust (Depending upon the brand and quality) P.S Please make sure you put a Glass wool based (Quality) exhaust not a pass through which can damage your engine after few long rides, also one should check the glass wool condition to make sure its not worn out.

Hi Justin I have mentioned about this in my Q&A sessions, However in short it will affect the milage as we tend to throttle more for pick up and also the performance exhaust does perform for a boost, so there will be a dip in your millage but not a drastic one.

Hi Ravi thank you for your support, for rusting make sure during monsoon your bike is parked in a garage or covered area. Usually it's the parts which have iron in it catch the rust during monsoon season or when water is left on the same so make sure your ride is kept as dry as possible. Actually their are lot of things to take care but can't cover it here so guess will make a video for this what do u say ??

Hello Kiran I guess on a classic an upswept is the best not only it looks like the world war bike but also gives you just the thump u looking for, if looking for loud noise then you can try small bottle, Indore , or wild bore they have loud ones

Hi Raghav, it completely depends on your preference, however if you are looking for city use and like the retro feel go for standard 500 and if you prefer the classic look go for that. The maintenance for both the bikes is nearly same. GT is for chilling using the power and getting a racing bike feel in a old school retro package. Hope this helped

Short bottles are actually the most decent ones however need to make sure about the quality and make also the glass wool quality. I have heard the Indore short bottle sounds nice but hard to find here no days

one of my friend owns a 350 std he has installed a proper short bottle without any baffles and a c type bend pipe and boy-o-boy that sounds absolute bullet 350 the old ci , well not exactly but pretty nice.

i have short bottle in my bullet 500.. just 300Rs.. when I twist the throttle all I hear is a sound of helicopter.. so crazy.. so sometimes I change exhaust stock one, and sometime short bottle..

i bought bullet 500 efi last wk and iam completely confused with all the sensors. i really want to change the exhaust but one of my friend who has classic 500 bs4 model and when he changed his stock exhaust with an aftermarket one, within a week his O2 sensor got damaged. does it cause any other damages to bs4 500 models don't ignore this am waiting for ur reply....

Nothing wrong has happened to my Continental GT and Classic 500 (both with EFI) after Installing new Exhausts. There might be some fault with the bike's sensors' wirings or something in your friend's case!

Hey Aniket that's your opinion, remember bullet is not chosen for size or appearance if you see lot of sport bike racers they are tiny and little in structure however they have a passion to ride.
