It is an invaluable skill. My husband is the type of man who when he was a child his mother did not teach him ANYTHING about either self are or tidying up, or helping himself and even less others. And it’s extremely frustrating for me to always be after him trying to teach him to clean up after he uses anything. I've been cleaning with Ajax, Comet, Bar Keepers Friend etc for more than 60 years. I small tip I'd like to add is if you add your water to the base of your tub then pour/shake the powder into that puddle, you can make enough paste to cover the whole tub without having to shake it everywhere and inhale the dust. I use to mix it in a bowl or old butter tub but i find its the same if it just carefully pour it in a puddle of water.
@mariannetracy42483 ай бұрын

I prefer Bon Ami. Barkeepers friend has a weird smell. But hey, if they paid me to use their product, that’s a dif story! I dry the tub with a towel after. And then I spray seventh gen all purpose cleaner and wipe with a separate clean towel. Then I do it a second time- spray and wipe With a completely dif clean towel. Then his gets ALL the residue of the scouring powder bc just rinsing doesn’t get it all. And it makes the tub shine like it’s from a showroom. You also have to polish the fixtures with a dry towel. The water droplets left on there will stain the metal. 🤷♀️An extra touch is putting a couple drops of lvendar, rosemary, or peppermint essential Oil in the drain. Two things to add- 1. I’ve been cleaning houses “holistically” For over 20 years for clients. 2. I never comment on videos. But I know you’ll read this Rajiv and I respect the shit out of you too much to keep my knowledge to myself and not share it with you. !

It's the oxalic acid in Barkeeper's Friend that does the work but it is an irritant to many people and if you don't want to spend the money or have containers to dispose of, a mix of 1 cup cheap salt, 1/2 cup borax, 1/2 cup baking soda, and some drops of lemon oil works just as well and can be made at home and stored in a sealed jar.
