Her father,Utama Chand Mohan did marry her mother Jadanbai. He belonged to a joint Hindu family of doctors who disowned him after he married Jadan Bai. I know the whole story because his first cousin was my father. Nobody in the family was allowed to meet Nargis .She was secretly in touch with our family and my sister till 1969 when she helped my sister to get a job in IMPA in Bombay .Then last contact was when she sent my sister a telegram and a bouquet of flowers on her wedding day. Her first cousin from father's side Ruby, was married to Dr Bali who divorced her and got married to Vyjantimala. My sister who is no more looked a lot like Nargis. Jadanbai and Dr Uttam Chand Mohan could not get along well because of her association with film producers and other members of the film industry 🙄
