As an owner of BMW for 18 months, one of the most no nonsense car ever. Seems limited on features but when you strart driving this car you realize that you never miss those fancy features even once. Just one issue you cannot blindly give your BMW to anyone to drive. The power delivery is immense and needs someone with experience to handle the car.

X7 is the segment killer ma’am.. the only reason you find more GLS on roads is because of the huge waiting period for X7 and more existing bookings for X7. The amount which you’re paying is totally worthy for X7 compared to it’s competitors and you are getting more for what you’re paying for in terms of features, drive and uniqueness.

Haha…finally, it happened. Phew!! Bht intezaar karwaaya aapne, Rajni ma’am. Khareed aap rahi hain car, Aur excitement humein ho rha hai, lol. Didn’t we say that you’d like BMW against all the cars that you’ve driven so far? 😃. Do make an inquiry about its top end model, M50d, which comes in diesel but in a higher state of tune. X7 comes in two Diesel engines options - xDrive 30d and xDrive M50d. Whereas 30d is a regular Diesel engine that is found on other BMW diesel models as well and have the same power and torque figures, M50d is M-performance version of 30d with the same engine capacity (3 litre inline 6) but twin turbochargers that cranks up more power and torque figures. Has more power than xDrive40i (400 hp up against 340 hp) and substantially more torque output (760 N-m up against 450 N-m). Definitely more sporty, more involving, more fun to drive and more ‘sheer driving pleasure’ than its gasoline counterpart. M50d also comes in two variants - the regular one and the ‘Dark Shadow’ one. Obviously, latter is just an expensive cosmetic upgrade over the regular one with few paint finishes reserved for only that model. The only car now left to checkout is the ultimate driving machine - Porsche Cayenne that is all about sporty driving sans practicality. And it costs exorbitantly high over the top end BMW X7 limited model with all the options. But that’s what Porsche is all about - ritzy ride!! 👍
