Hearing these players stories makes me realize how many coaches sabotaged players' careers because they didn't like the players personality

@BsfLoe I live in DFW and there were many reports on local radio sports stations and interviews with players at the time. I follow the team very closely watched every game during the time, he gave up on them you could tell. He's narrowing it down to one play but if you watched all those playoff games he was not playing as smart or as hard as he could. I was stoked to get him on our team. I thought he had such a great game and mind for the game. And he did. The problem was he didn't have the heart to match when he was on the Mavs.

I agree with Rondo. The way he played the game, nobody can call him a quitter. He never backed down from anyone. I mean anyone! Yes he can be a hot head but he’s the type of guy that makes teams better because he’s a great floor leader and passer. I’ve always respected Rondo’s game.

KP7300, that's who the Lakers shouldn't have ever gotten rid of! Problem was, Rondo's the type player who has to control the offense. When he does, in most cases there's always positive results, but James and his ball monopolization was always the problem. That's why the Lakers are dismal! Rondo could easily be an assistant coach veering towards a head coaching position somewhere....

I SAID IT AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN. RONDO SHOULD BE THE NEXT COACH OF THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS.! THE LAKERS ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING A COACH. IF THEY WAS THEY WOULD HIRE RONDO

Rick has proven to be an awful coach. But guys like him somehow still get coaching gigs. Yea this Celtics team has been great all season but Rick cost them 2 or 3 games in that series because of his refusal to call timeouts or refusal to foul the 3 point shooter up 3 points. That tells me he doesn’t respect his assistant coaches enough to take their advice and he’s set in his ways. Go back and watch the entire series if you want to argue this. He should be fired and Sam Cassell should be HC of the Pacers.

Rondo was great on the Boston team. But his ego made him uncoachable in Texas.

Rondo has been a baller since his duke devil days. Some of these Nba coaches are so archaic, they want players to pass the ball 5 times before you shoot. Sometimes, you just need to let the players play, and they'll produce points for the team.
