It's been requested for months and now it's here. The Soviet conquest of Hokkaido means storming the Rumoi beach, the northernmost Japanese main home island. This could have been the Japanese nightmare that almost happened during WW2, as most of its army was in the south instead, to defend against the US forces.
During Project Hula, the Soviets received many American ships to support their undertakings but at the last moment, they changed their mind and conquered Kuril Islands instead.
I designed this realistic map, to feature points of interest like the town of Rumoi, the port, and the beach. Hokkaidos valleys, hills, and mountains covered with dense forest make this a tough place for any opponent.

Experience in training Soviet soldiers in landing operations and mountain operations. 11. This battle can also be regarded as the Soviet Union’s revenge for its defeat in the Russo-Japanese War. The Japanese army could deal with the Soviet army in a way that could prolong the war but not reverse the situation: 1. The Soviet army had no experience in landing operations, so the Japanese army could suppress the Soviet army's first attack in a short period. 2. The Japanese army is good at guerrilla warfare and harassment attacks. 3. Japanese Navy submarines used to block Soviet sea supply lines. (can't hold in long period). 4. The Japanese army used biological and chemical weapons (that would lead to strong retaliation). 5. Try to use intelligence warfare (the difference in combat power is too large, the intelligence is there but useless). 6. Let the few Japanese Navy ships engage the Soviet Navy ships. 7. Dig underground resistance fortifications (long-term resistance is available, but it is easy to be completely destroyed when discovered). Result: Unlike the video, the Japanese army's combat effectiveness could not withstand the Soviet army's long-term attack. The Japanese army's combat effectiveness was much worse than the Soviet army's combat effectiveness. Hokkaido would be completely occupied and become an important strategic location for the Soviet Union in the Pacific. The remaining Japanese resistance parties would be annihilated and become a base for the Japanese Communist Party. Japan will meet the same end as Germany.

The Soviets had already invaded and taken Manchuria, Southern Sakhalin and Kuril Islands. The next step for Soviet invasion was Hokkaido. It was to stop further Soviet encroachment of Japanese territories as well to prevent more dropping of the atomic bombs had forced Japanese to surrender and end the war.

Если у США было принято проводить массированные, интенсивные и длительные артобстрелы из мощных корабельных пушек, позже проводить авиабомбардировки и только потом высаживать десант то у СССР все делали "с ходу" Японцы этого не ожидали и были удивлены а вместе с тем 3 000 советских морпехов выбили с Сахалина 25 000 японцев

В этом видео та же проблема, что в видео о наступлении на Берлин. У Японской империи, так же как у Германии в 1945 году, не было самолетов для использования их в воздухе. Не было топлива, не было самолетов. Но если у Германии были пилоты, то Японской империи с ее тактикой Божественного ветра и Банзай, не осталось даже пилотов. К тому же, у Германии хотя бы оставалась хорошая ресурсная база металлов, чего островная Япония себе позволить не могла. В то же время, у Советского воздушного флота всё шло очень хорошо, появились новые типы самолетов, много пилотов с боевым опытом. Лучше бы, чтобы в видео присутствовало больше Советских самолетов, а не пресловутых Зеро на каждом шагу Красной армии.

In fact, after the (unsuccessful) large-scale kamikaze attack on Okinawa, the Japanese military switched to conserving aircraft in preparation for a decisive battle on the mainland. There was no doubt that there was a shortage of pilots, but I think Japan could have dispatched a large number of aircraft in the situation shown in the video. However, there is no doubt that the Japanese military's air power was overwhelmingly inferior to that of the Red Army.

Прежде всего, Россия сама является страной, которая за последние годы увеличила свою территорию до Сибири, Тихого океана и Охотска путем масштабных вторжений. Штурм острова при поддержке авиации из 4х истребителей , гениальный ход на премию дарвина которую разработчики и получили! Но видно пилотировали Кажедуб , Речкалов , Пакрышкин и Колдунов , поскольку выкосили две эскадрильи Японцев. Ну приблизительно же можно было ознакомиться с историческими данными 🤦🏻‍♂️

Had it happened the casualty figures would have been horrendous when you consider the Japanese belief that death was preferable to surrender, especially when fighting on home ground, and the Soviet’s apparent disregard for casualties as long as the objective was achieved.

А кто вам сказал, что Советский Союз игнорировал потери? Это как минимум нелогично и вам лучше ознакомиться с мемуарами военноначальников и приказами Ставки и командующих. Вообще Советский Союз более 50 островов освободил от японцев за 12 дней. И там были десантные операции.

Дело в том что подростки подумают что именно так все и было . При штурме укрепления такого характера как высота с бастионами. Еë бы утюжила авиация целый день. На следующий день лупили 300мм снарядами с кораблей при высадке. Никогда бы в гору не пошла бы советская пехота пока не закрепилась на берегу артиллерия гаубичная и тяж техника. Как и кретинизм с ротой якобы самураев патриотов бегущих на пулеметы с мечами 🤦🏻‍♂️. Такое было раз и из 70 японцев добежали 0 . Русские были в шоке , думали что они самые чокнутые ,а оказалось что у японцев тоже бывают заскоки. А вот истребители бронетанковых войск у японцев реально такие были да!!! Лучший снаряд ПТУР это живой самонаводящийся БАНЗАЙ. Бывало он еще из акопа не успевал выскочить , на танках каждая третья в пулемете в ленте трассер, и БАНЗАЙ взрывался унося с собой два отделения своих бойцов. Но если добегали до танка то пажар боекомплекта обеспечен был. 👍

Seaman Nit Picker reporting in!:) The video seems funny and a lot of work has been done by respective author, but soviet Red Banner Pacific Fleet never had capacity to land more than 1 division at a time in 1945. The landing ships transferred by Hula project were 30 LCI(L) with the max capacity of 200 landing force personnel, and not a single LCT. Meanwhile, IJA forces on Hokkaido counted about 100000, with about 2 A-type divisions covering Northern part of Hokkaido. The fate of soviet force should soviets try amphibious landings is quite predictable :). And keep in mind IJN cruiser/destroyer force from Ominato NB. As for air power, results of sorties performed by soviet 128th mixed air division during soviet landings on Shumushu match the division name :) And the soviet area had very limited airfield capacity. Nevertheless, it's a good vid.

@@user-tb5bc5ms9u both m4 american and t34 soviet was medium tanks. At least Japan should have anti tank to counter that both tank especially when japan army defend their homeland. In another late video, it show japan use heavy tank in defence position.

Был реальный план занять остров Хоккайдо. А это огромный остров. 19 августа 1945 года полк морской пехоты и стрелковый полк должны были провести десант и взять порт Румой, после чего должны были высадить две дивизии 87-го стрелкового корпуса и взять под контроль северную часть острова вплоть до сотрова Кусиро к 1 сентября.

Thats not logic because of the cities of Japan are not strongly made but the Stalingrad had large buildings and industrial blocks that could withstand dozens of bombardment but Japan had mostly wooden houses.

Ich glaube nicht, das die Japaner am 24.8.1945 noch so viele einsatzbereite Flugzeuge mit Sprit hatten. Und üblicherweise werden Strände vor einer Invasion mit Schiffen und FLugzeugen weich geklopft.

As far as I have read about the end of WW2, the Soviets lacked a decent Navy, let alone enough landing craft. Conquering Manshukwo was relative easy. Crossing the Chinese Sea and the Japanese Sea is a huge undertaking even if you limit yourself between southern Korea and Japan. Coming over from the north and land on Hokkaido seems the best option at first, landings from southern Korea maybe later. If that's even necessary. with the two mainly US landings from the other side. Will the western allies give (landing) ships to the Soviets? I doubt it. Maybe just enough to establish two Russian fronts in the north and in the west, enough to tie the Japanese there. Or the allies might wait untill most of their own troops are in Japan. Anyhow I doubt the Soviets can make a first attempt in late 1945 from whatever direction. If they are smart they wait until Japan no longer has a decent airforce Or maybe they are happy with just being in control of the entire Korean peninsula. It all depends on Stalin. For the sake of this video, I guess he will ask the Allies for as much ships as they can possibly send and as soon as possible. He doesn't care about losing lifes on his own side anyhow. Idk, but all of Korea and all of Hokkaido might be politically enough for him...
