Thanks for sharing this. I love the series and can't wait for the next one. Although I must say Mistaken Identity will always be my favourite as I love the character of Conrad so much. But I love the reformed character of Nathan🤍

I love Conrad too!!! He is one of my first book loves! Although, the last book, The Secrets of a Scoundrel, has one of my other very favorite book heroes! Look for it in the next month. It is with my narrator now.

Just finished. This book was brilliant. I totally enjoyed these characters. The narrator was exceptional. Loved Nathan's voice. I so enjoyed that it was started on a voyage, and that romance blossomed, then continued in India.❤

4:53:29 - I am really really loving this book so far - even if it has one of the my most hated cliches as a plot - spoiler - that of two characters in love with each other, but not wanting to tell the other... sigh... seriously hate that cliche - but dang this story is so sweet and tender and told in such an interesting way that I can easily ignore the cliche. 5:36:35 - dang I'm loving this book! I'm seriously in tears! It's just so beautifully wonderful! Sigh - such a good good book! It was way too short - I wanted it to go on and on! It just makes me smile so big - I'm smiling still - I loved Jasmine/Justine and how she put the rake in his place when they first met - and how slowly their, slowly their relationship grew - sigh - so dang sweet! Just an all around great book! My only complaint is that is was way to short - I loved both these characters!

@LivingwithLivvy101 Жыл бұрын
I'm only 35 min in, but this story pulled me straight in. The characters are relatable to other historical romances but have a slight variation, not a "wallflower" type but a totally forgettable one. Not just a rake but a rake on the run.

One hour left to this story and I seriously want to slap Nathan. He has spent nearly every day for over 6 months in Justinas company and instead of having the guts to tell her how he feels he says that?!? Does he not realise that his “decision” shows him as unchanged. Arrrrgh! I hate how neither of them will be honest about their feelings. However that was the BEST ending with tension mounting all the time. The imagery and experiences of India were beautifully captured and the pronunciation perfect. I like the way Nathan matured as a man through illness on the ship and appreciation of others kindness. Now how shall you reform the sarcastic Tierney I wonder.
