Raleigh and Spencer

It’s #fiddletunefriday and I just posted a lesson on Patreon for this tune “Raleigh and Spencer” that I’ve been playing on the road with Jake Blount recently. I even gave singing it a go today, so I hope you enjoy my dulcet singing tones 😆. This version comes from NC fiddler Tommy Jarrell, via his brother-in-law, via a black musician in his area. I’ve been loving trying to figure out Tommy’s bowing on this one and I wrote out music notation with the bowing transcribed so you can give it a go too, so check out the lesson and notes out at the link below.
