Ralf Kleemann plays "Flying to the Fleadh" on the Celtic harp, a slip jig (and originally a pipe tune) composed by Patrick Davey. Played on location on the Irish south coast.
The prolonged sustain of the strings was actually caused by the wind blowing gently through the harp.
Ralf Kleemann spielt "Flying to the Fleadh" ("/flah/") auf der keltischen Harfe, ein Slip Jig von Patrick Davey, der ursprünglich für Dudelsack geschrieben wurde. Ort des Geschehens ist eine Bucht an der irischen Südküste.

What is the model of your harp? It has a beautiful sound!

Yes, I used internal transducers to avoid wind noise. Works like a charm :)

Very nice! You don't hear the wind when you play. Is it because you use pick-ups for recording? Great sound! Look quite cold...

If you could share a bit more detailed information on the internal transducer setup, it would be great. Looks almost like a microphone going into the lower soundboard; is that it? Would you ever consider adding some microphone sound to add the atmoshpere of the location?

srbh There are three piezo transducers on three "sweet spots" on the harp's soundboard. They are grouped into two channels. The transducers are home made, but you can also get them from various manufacturers (or from me). The camera's mic was used to capture the ambient sound, but due to the wind noise I decided to use only the transducer sound for the music.
