couple interesting facts about NVGs in planes. Pilots will have NV sensors after they eject, however, they will not be their standard aviation unit, the AN/AVS-9, as the helmet mount, should they eject, is engineered to break at multiple points. Rather, the pilot on the ground afer ejection will have a unit known as an ENVIS. The ENVIS differs from the AVS-9 by being a single tube unit, makng use of infantry style optics, and typically uses a "B-grade" tube, which has more blemishes in its image than is acceptable for infantry or aviation use. As such, while the AVS-9 can be had for between 7-12 thousand dollars, dependent on source, the ENVIS typically costs no more than $1,000 dollars, though it may command more when buying second hand.

in dcs settings (i beleive general) there's a setting for the f10 map for icons put it on "russian" and they'll show up like that

Great video but one thing triggered me: anyone saying the F14 is easier to land never learned how to land either the hornet or the tomcat properly. Hornet is waaaaaaay easier, you just gotta trim for on speed. Takes 3 seconds, smooth and stable AF

Don't know if you are kidding or not. But it's the VX9 livery from the Nevada map. It's a default selection no need to download. I can check later but I use it for a buddy so he can see my plane a little better.

If you just say 'nine' over radio it can sound indistinguishable from 'five'. This is the same reason you should say 'tree' instead of 'three', and 'fife' instead of 'five' over radio.
