Thank you for the entertainment and enjoyment over the years Ralfidude. While I travelled overseas for a number years I looked forward to your content and hoped when things settled down for me that I’d build my first gaming PC and delve into this complex rabbit hole that is DCS. Last year things finally allowed me to do so and now I have a custom simpit with more dollars put into it than I should have spent, but I love every minute of it. Thanks for inspiring me to take the leap and my way of thanking you is the people I have helped get into DCS myself. Share the love and pass it on I say. Cheers for the good times mate.

So yeah, I totally fumbled the controls with the first SA-15. Forgot to make my left DDI my SOI and it all went downhill from there.... Still though, fun as heck. We ended up doing more AA than AG oddly enough.

I was on as magic. Funny watching it back now and me giving you guys callouts like "Corona flight merged" and you guys are like no shit sherlock. Little difficult to get a sense of what you guys can and can't see with the top down GCI view so I just error on the side of telling you more than you need to know.

It has and it hasn't. Still can't change settings in-game, still can't use multi-threading, Hornet is still early access after two years... and we're getting a high-fidelity supercarrier that's of course barely functional but which they'll charge $70 for anyway

@@FinalGlideAus If anyone else had had the same opportunity as ED, but without a dysfunctional management, virtually non-existant QA, decade old branch management software, a team of 50-odd russian developers that are so sheltered and "protected" from every little criticism, that they loose any touch with the consumer and repeatedly loose years of progress when a programmer decides to move on and leave this shitshow behind, with all that underlined by the ridiculous notion that this game is marketed as just "a tool to create training video material"... think of where we could be right now. Just look at the performance issues with constant rubber-banding. The guy who wrote the netcode for DCS left years ago and they never changed anything but it remains a core issue that essentially breaks carriers in MP and makes it almost impossible to play even on the most decked servers with the most decked client with more than a few people at once. No western company would let this happen without even so much as scratching their head and asking themselves why they can't do better. ED is a joke and it is sad that there is just not enough money in the market for any competitors. Otherwise ED would have died years ago and we'd all be playing another much much better game developed by a more competent team.

@@StingrayMM20 Basically it puts something under all aircraft so they're easier to spot because its harder to spot aircraft in dcs than in real life they're called labels

I was messing this the HARM's in TOO mode yesterday (in the beta version 2.5.6.45915) and I was not able to see the HUD indications for the HARM lock.....how do I get those to work? I was able uncage the HARM and successfully fire at the ground target but the HUD indication was missing.

Bags are external fuel tanks, how it's done depends on the aircraft however if you look at chucks guides or google it you should be able to find a suitable answer

You carry bags into a fight so you have the most fuel available, but drop them in order to pull more Gs. All about having an advantage

"Tanks" over radio, with dropouts, could be interpreted as battle tanks on the ground, or something else. And no, "context matters" is not something you want to rely on in the heat of battle. Same reason we have "fox 1"/2/3. Same reason we have "spike". Brevity sounds silly but it does serve a purpose.

Indeed though ARMs have been around for the US since the early 60's with the AGM-45 Shrike which was essentially a AIM-7 Sparrow with anti-radiation guidance. It was okay, but newer variants stayed in service until after the Gulf War.
