I have to wonder if less ambitious scandi flicks would result in a faster overall time through that corner for most of those drivers? It looked like only one driver really nailed the corner (the WRX at about 3:30ish).

Most definitely! Although this is a well known spectator point for this rally and I can assure you, the drivers are usually more interested in putting on a show than being fast through here!

Its funny how a lot of drivers seem to think that the flick and wide slide in the dirt is the way to go, no.matter.what.. The few drivers who used logic, stayed on the asphalt for braking and turn-in and made it through that corner way faster.

Yes, every round is open for spectating with the Service Park the best place to start to get a look at the cars + chat with drivers/teams. From there they will usually have directions to the spectator points, which are often the easiest to access with parking ability. + It's all free.
