Protesters gathered in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv on Sunday in a show of solidarity for the plight of Ukrainian Azovstal defenders still being held prisoner by the Russians.
Taking place outside the Expocenter of Ukraine, the 'Free Azov' rally supporters brought along signs with calls to action and messages of support, such as "Freedom to Azov" and "Russian captivity kills."
Former Azov prisoners of war Anatolii Mikheev and Dmytro Kozatskyi attended the rally and thanked Ukrainians for their ongoing show of solidarity for soldiers still being held captive.
"Every week, thousands of people gather in various cities across Ukraine and around the world so that when Ukrainian prisoners of war are brought home, they can see that people have been advocating for them and remembering them every week, doing everything possible to fight for them," said Kozatskyi.

Russia under Vladimir Putin bears striking similarities to Nazi Germany. Both regimes began with populist support but evolved into authoritarian rule, tightly controlling media and society. They share a common thread of extreme nationalism, often promoting ideas of racial or cultural superiority. In both cases, opposition is silenced through censorship, intimidation, and violence. Perhaps most alarmingly, both demonstrate territorial aggression - Nazi Germany invaded over 12 countries, *with the aim of expanding the German Reich*, while Putin's Russia invited Chechnya (1999-2009), Georgia (2008), annexed Crimea (2022) and invaded Ukraine (2014-present) also with *the aim of reclaim Russia's great power status*. Russia's foreign policy today echoing some of history's darkest chapters. Putin is the modern day Hitler.

I think you've rightly analyze the parallels between two fascists dictators flirting with perverted nationalism. It's no coincidence that the 'z' symbols all over Russia and ' swastika' symbols of Nazi Germany share similar undertones. Russian kids in the schools are raised to hate the west and see as their enemy right from the young age, can you imagine how will these kids govern a Russia that is peppered will different kinds of nukes? Ukraine victory over Russia is an insurance for peace in Europe and the globe, the sooner the western leaders grasp this wisdom the better.

Yes, at first glance you can see something, but if you look more closely, there are many more similarities between then and now. I don't think it's all a coincidence. Unfortunately, on both sides, it's the smallest and the poorest who have to pay the highest price again. Christians are killing Christians!! It makes me angry and sick!!
