Neil is meeting one of his kid’s friends in this episode, and it’s adorable. I can see all the micro expressions of trying to fit this episode into the grandiose blocks eps he always makes, but he quickly adjusts into Barbosa’s style and demeanor and it slaps with flying colors.

As a Mexican who also struggles with anxiety, the way Ralph described his experience with it is exactly the same as my experience, especially when it comes to having endless thoughts of meaningless (sometimes meaningful) questions that feel rather urgent for no apparent reason. Sometimes you’re just so in your head that it starts to affect how “present” you feel you’re coming across to other people. Great episode as always! As far as Ralph’s special goes I thought it was really great, can’t wait to see what he does next

These 2 need to write a show together. Ralph is a character who could do his own version of curb your enthusiasm, and he'd be a barber who tries to be a comic (but never really makes it).

These two seem so comfortable together and Neal is so awesome for not just talking to Ralph but really listen. He’s not trying to mentor him or give him any advice, but Neal is always really great at meeting whoever he’s talking to right where they are at. I really enjoyed this one and Ralph seems like such a good and genuine guy, especially for only being 27. The sky is the limit for this kid, it’s not just hype either. He’s a legit great standup. I’m very excited for him. He has a lot of potential and his humbleness does not read inauthentic in any way. Ralph is Ralph and Ralph is KILLING IT!!!

I like that Neal interviewed a young comic, even though its a reminder to me why I could never date a 26 year old at my 40+ age (WTF do we have to talk about?). This kid reminds me a lot of the patients I deal with daily even down to the way he speaks. Love the reductive way Neal describes relationships as women pretending we want to have sex and men pretending they want intimacy, after a few months we both stop pretending, that shit was so funny. I've been saying I wanted a relationship like Rivera and Kahlo for years (and I'm not just using this analogy because he's Mexican) two separate houses and a bridge to connect us when we want to see each other. I'm ok with fvcking the same person forever because of diseases, but the constant in your face interaction when I can entertain myself? eh. Ralph reduced it to I don't want to share my damn tv, tv was my best friend before you, I think encapsulates his generation so appropriately. Chris Rock said, fvck me, feed me, leave me the fvck alone. I kinda agree. But that's my temperment.
