I wish Felix and Calhoun got more screen time with that subplot of them trying to raise the racers. It would have been fun to see, especially since they were a big part in the first movie. It'd help balance the movie than just focusing on Ralph and Vanellope.

I do wish they got to come along on the adventure like in earlier drafts. It would've been great to see Ralph, Vanellope, Felix, and Calhoun all interacting and developing relationships with each other, since we didn't get to see the two pairs cross paths until the ending/epilogue of the first film. For me the racer plot would've been better than nothing I guess (as long as it was handled well), but I'm not a fan of the "married couple has to play a parent role just because they're married" thing, I feel like it would've just reduced them to sitcom character roles that didn't fit them.

well these characters in general are cameos, they were never intended to take an important role, at most they could be secondary characters or for super short scenes but I will be honest if the princesses were a simple cameo that is worth nothing, what prevents them from having a longer cameo? Felix and Calhoun deserved more screen time to flesh out their dynamic. In the 2 scenes we got it feels like they were roughly about the same person. (Which of course together you grow as people but I feel they should’ve had more dynamic to bounce off of each other like in the first movie.) These storyboards we got of them would’ve been perfect. They have a good amount of flair that’s very charming. (Of course, this is coming from someone who never actually bothered watching the sequel because I just had a gut feeling it would be bad but everyone seems to be agreeing that they should’ve had more.)

I love the seemingly scrapped idea of all of them going to the internet but the second scene makes it seem like ralph doesn't care about q-bert and the tangent he goes on about velcro straps or whatever just strays from the dialogue and seems more like comedy filler. Also, I don't want to seem even more nitpicky but when they pray they don't even mention Vanellope in the first scene, which also makes it seem like they only care about ralph...

@otterdaffy5577 @sameergill It disappoints me that people obsess over him so much in this movie (especially when he has tons of his own content), or that they even believed he'd have such a big role. He's a cameo character and isn't important, he was only in this one scene because he was part of the crowd watching the router being plugged in. There are tons of interviews with the crew out there where they talk about earlier drafts, ideas, etc. and they're clear that they don't give cameos major roles because it overshadows the important characters (that's why Mario wasn't in the first movie, contrary to the "he's too expensive" rumor that started from a joke John C. Reilly made at a press conference). Whats really disappointing is the exclusion of actual main characters like Felix and Calhoun (who just had a babysitting plot and then even *that* was cut last minute). They got nothing for 6 years - hardly even basic merchandise - and then got less screentime than virtual avatars of Disney cameos who didn't even belong in the movie. It's no wonder the director Rich Moore left Disney afterwards.

No, Sonic was not a part of the main cast in any draft of this movie, people have to read interviews instead of looking at out-of-context clips. Ralph, Vanellope, Felix, and Calhoun are the four main characters but the latter 2 got screwed out of a plot in the final film. The director and crew made a point of not having cameos as main cast members because it would've been too pandery and stupid (look at what happened with Disney forcing virtual avatars of the princesses into the movie and giving them more screen time than some main characters got).

Though I wasn’t a big fan of how the movie turned out, but I feel like they could of went with these scenes and ideas. I wished we got to see more of Felix and Calhoun with the racers. I especially like the idea of having everyone else going into the internet. I would be a nice addition to have some of the main Nicelanders, Sonic and Qbert be moved to main character status. It just feels a little off that it’s just Ralph and Vanellope and no one else. They could of had the others be support for Ralph and Vanellope on their journey. For an extra detail, I though it made sense to have Sonic to have only little knowledge about the internet since he only knew about what happens in other games. I feel he could of had a similar role to Lego Batman in the Lego Movie where he is a well known character that likes to steal the show because of how awesome he is. I feel they could of explored and fleshed out these characters even more.

I don’t know if the music was added as extra for these bonus scenes, but the music playing while Qbert returned from the internet reminded me so much of WALL·E. It makes me think that in the same way Space was this vast, beautiful, and terrifying that they are using that music to compare the internet in this case to how Space was in WALL·E. Which honestly just made me think of how doing something like that is a much better way to appeal to fans rather than what we actually got with this movie or even the Wish movie. Something small like music, to invoke a similar feeling in us or say that the characters feel in that way just makes that scene so much better.

If the 2nd deleted scene wasn’t deleted, not only would Felix & Calhoun get more screen time. But also Sonic, Q-Bert, and that one nicelander who baked cake for Felix & later Ralph a chance to more supporting characters in the main cast. With Sonic & Q-Bert being the Mr. Potato Head and Slinky Dog of Wreck-It Ralph. Now if only Pac-Man, Zangief, Ryu Hayabusa, Scoprion, even Mario if they were allowed to use him, joined Ralph’s Wrecking Crew in the final version of Ralph Breaks the Internet. We wouldn’t have to focus on Ralph & Vanellope all the time, so that we wouldn’t see more of them dicks.

No you didn't. This wasn't going to be a Sonic movie, he was just in this one scene because he was standing next to the important characters when the router was plugged in. There are already 2-3 Sonic movies and tons of merch but Wreck-It Ralph hardly got anything after the first film. Ralph in this clip actually seems somewhat enjoyable. But in the actual movie they made him into an absolute man-baby. It was really disappointing to see the clips and reviews that i didn’t even bother watching the sequel. (To be fair, the only animated movie sequel I’ve ever actually liked was kung fu panda so this isn’t out of the ordinary but still! What a letdown… this could’ve been something great. 😔)
