Ralph Fiennes on the provocation of acting

Oscar-nominated actor Ralph Fiennes is returning in two new acclaimed films. In "Conclave," about the intrigue of papal politics, he plays a Vatican insider who oversees a gathering of cardinals who must elect a new pope. In "The Return," Fiennes - reunited with his "English Patient" costar Juliette Binoche - plays Odysseus, who has returned home following the Trojan War. Fiennes talks with correspondent Martha Teichner about the draw of playing characters with contradictions, and the thrill of finding a new role.

That also shows that whatever he got out of this movie, it definitely was not more faith. More questions mean he didn't listen to his character who was saying that if we had all the answers crystal clear then there would be no need for faith.

British actors are the best. The fact they are educated to play on stage makes them to have a special acting in movies.they have substance and this is coming from their culture as well. Since I saw him playing in English patient I considered him as my favourite actor. Couple of years I saw him I the remake of La piscine with dakotta Jackson, it is a scene in that movie when he acts very weird as dancing, laughing very loud, crazy. In that scene I observed that sparkling that only an excellent actor can have it. Looking forward to watch both new titles.

I read Conclave but haven't seen the film. Will be curious to see how it translates. Fiennes did a very vigorous Coriolanus in his film, not as patrician perhaps as the text but very compelling.

Watching old movies 🎉❤🎉 years later is a great fun, wish you all, don't fear .. traveling in time thanks great actors and their roles. The religious topic instead is still the biggest debate of all times. Jesus Christ said...when FAITH seems to work against humankind, it means we have to read the Holy books all over again. Still today, FAITH is about scrutinize, about being judges, about seeking new heretics, about the witch hunt instead of spreading good vibes and let everybody get closer to God with no fear. The most important is our symbiotic relationship with Mother Nature and the Holy Creation which is the miracle of life on Earth. No, the obsession for sinners is the priority, the hatred towards the others because different ones, it's not about doing something good but...a fascist kind of approach, of creating new exclusive restrained areas and all the others must die. FAITH is about bringing comfort there where it's needed the most instead of denying it. You see, movies are working even better than any political strategy that...find no courage to touch certain topics at all 😢😢😢
