In my opinion, RL is more than a lifestyle brand. I have never played Polo or watched Polo live but started wearing RL since 80s middle school as a poor Hoosier.

I remember going to NM in Dallas Tx , I was 15 yo and going to the Polo Ralph Lauren section.. I was hooked and was in love with anything Polo 👕 and my very first Polo was Light Cream Yellow and the horse was Light Blue and I’m 61 years old and still have the very first one , it’s amazing how small the Polo was and how small I was … I still wear Polo today , some people call me stuck in the 80”s . I don’t care ❤️❤️❤️❤️

i was there several times June/July lovely store there are refreshments on the first level great while shopping upper/ north end of Michigan ave. Right on CTA busline. There is a terrific Nordstrom Rack nearby a couple of blocks off Michigan. Great deals there bought a larger suitcase for purchases since I live abroad.

I’m a lifelong Ralph Lauren fan….since I was about 10 years old (I’m 52 now!). And to think it all started from a white pair of pleated chinos and a short sleeved madras shirt! When I finally got the polo shirts and oxfords, it was “game over”. Now I’m a PRL addict and nothing will cure my addiction to his clothes! I guess I’ll be sick for the rest of my life, but at least I’ll be well dressed! 🤣 I need Mahogany closets like that! That’s the best “medicine” for my addiction!

NO,, there is not the clients in Monaco,, really,, because these women like to be too BLING BLING,, I usually go to Paris to the Wonderful store of RL,, OR to Nice there is a RL,, dept in Galleria Layette ,,, it is hard to shop online because his sizes are so weird!! I hear you, it could be a challenge, but I think Ralph Lauren offers the complimentary alterations on full-price men’s suits and Collection apparel in select stores. Also, RL has a petite collection 😊.

I am truly surprised that this brand has opened such a huge store in London. It is afterall an upper class American style brand that is masquarading as a British bygone era. The overall economic situation in the English isles are not very stable right now, thus, the clientele will most like be tourists and wealthy Arabs from the Middle East, who also own properties in London.

Agree and I think the overall economic situation in the world is not very stable right now to say the least, BUT as you mentioned there is a demand for it within tourists and wealthy local clientele, so it is profitable. I admire RL craftsmanship and his classic style, and every time I go to the flagship store in Chicago, I get inspired and feel very welcomed. I find shopping and “window shopping” are very therapeutic and it’s always a pleasant experience. I need to visit London to explore the authentic British bygone era brands/stores. 😊
