Haven't heard this for a while ! I'll have to dig out the old L.P. IT impressed me at the time (71/72) ,still does . A lot of Ralph's songs have " long legs " Thanks Ralph for the treasure chest of goodies !

One of the best songs on his 'You Well-Meaning Brought me Here', along with 'Old Brown Dog', and 'The Ferryman'. I've seen Ralph in 4 different countries. UK, Australia, Singapore and Qatar. Loved his music for more than 50 years

I was at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester when Ralph first sang this. It was as moving and relevant then as it is now. One of my very favourite songs. Thanks Ralph!

Thank you for posting this video. I was outside the marquee and heard the song, not knowing what it was but thinking it beautiful. It's been driving me mad trying to find out and now I know what it is!

No one has written a better ecology song before or since and no one probably ever will. Classic Ralph.
