I would've liked this comment before but tbh Idk why you wouldn't think he's well spoken lol, most guys in the NBA are pretty eloquent, but the most attention-grabbing ones are the most "outgoing" 😂😂

WOW Ralph Sampson. This guy and Hakeem The Dream beat the Lakers on a last second shot to go to the finals against the Celtics. I think it was 1986.

If you thought players like Antetokounmpo are a new thing, check out Ralph Sampson and learn how little you know. 7'4" small forward running the floor in 1983 - 21ppg and 11rpg in his rookie NBA season.
@Sam-ky3su7 жыл бұрын
Ralph Sampson is the biggest "what if" in NBA history. All through out the 80's, the Lakers didn't have a real rival in the west. If only Ralph stayed healthy, Magic would've only won 3 rings and Hakeem would've been in the GOAT conversation. Considering Hakeem won 2 rings in the 90's with very little help, I say he would've won 5 with Ralph.

I remember watching a game in Ralph's rookie year and the commentator said that Sampson might end his career as the nba's all time leading scorer. Never happened, obviously, but just goes to show how much promise this guy had.

The most under appreciated college and NBA player ever. Ralph was an absolute beast, but gets no credit now cause he didn't win the NCAA or an NBA Finals. Love Ralph, went to his camp at UVA in '83, got our pictures made with him, then watched him drive off in his cool white Porsche with STIX50 on the tags .

You're telling me the Celtics offered in cash $1 million dollars on the table to be drafted early and Red went to Sampson parent's house? But he wasn't ready? And Red just left the end? Something I dislike about interviewers is they have a list of questions they think are more important than the story the interviewee is talking about. No details Colin? Was Red the only one? Boston and other teams offer cash to declare for the draft early? smh. Colin is not that good anyways. However, apparently no rules against that.

Hey UNC is definitely up there, but some would argue it's #1 UVA, #2 Maryland and #3 UNC. Personally, you can coin toss the three and you still come out with A TOP QUALITY EDUCATION.
