As both a guitar player and an avid Vaughan Williams fan, you'd have to do something top class to impress me. I got shivers listening to this. Well done that man! Bravo.

5:54 I thought to myself "that could be Jethro Tull" ...then I learnt about the connection...lol... I came here for the Tallis rendition and was unable to leave - truly amazing guitar work throughout.

This is the best of your classical metal tunes (which are all amazing), but interestingly the longest one to take hold. The first 3 minutes of Tallis Fantasia just knocks the ball out of the park into outer space and beyond, it's above amazing and further than legendary, it's the sound of the composer nailing it and accessing the sublime. This video demands millions of more views.

It's kind of amazing how this reminds me so much of Opeth's earlier works -- fitting you're wearing their shirt. Great work, man!

This, like all your other work, is just exquisite. I love that you're wearing an Opeth t-shirt, too. Absolutely appropriate.

Many thanks for sharing this masterpiece - I had goosebumps whilst listening. Like Seamus below, I'm a big fan of RVW and also play the guitar. This is the best thing I've heard in ages, really beautifully done.

Wow, the last thing I expected was to hear a metal cover of a familiar hymn, but that sounded AWESOME!

Simply stunning.

Excellent music! It is fresh, yet it conveys the beauty and power of the classical versions I have heard, as well as the hymns to some of these tunes I have sung in church on holy days of great solemnity.

Dude, this is totally awesome. I'm actually practicing the first movement of his bass tuba concerto for a solo/ensemble festival, so this totally made my day

Congratulations. It's amazing how well you play. I think you should know Ralph Vaughan Williams' 6th symphony. Here is my recommendation. Thank you!

Joe Parrish You should think about doing Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner or Shostakovich 5th Symphony 4th movement or Hindemith Symphonic Metamorphosis

Just discovered this, it is awesome! You've really captured the beautiful opening chords of Tallis. I play electric guitar and love RVW. Did you work out the opening chords yourself or use sheet music?
@JoeParrish4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I think at the time I did most of the Tallis stuff by ear, but some of the other pieces I used a score
