We had neighbors who were naturalized American citizens from Mexico. They worked for a company that did road work in the Atlanta area (if you live in Atlanta, you know the road work NEVER STOPS). They were off on a Sunday....SUNDAY, and came to my hubby asking if he had any work for them. Hubby owned a property development company and built/renovated houses. They worked for him some. They were kind of like 'heaven forebid we have a day off!' my hubby often worked 6-7 days/wk and up to 80/hrs a wk. He and these guys got along super great. He just would look at them like "Don't you think you need a day off?" Then he'd find them a job if he could. We liked that family. We went to their parties (turns out I don't like to eat goat), and they came to ours. GOOD PEOPLE...GOOD TIMES!

He made fun of every race. But did it in such a way that NOBODY got mad. One of a kind.
@groovelife4156 ай бұрын
Not really. The only race he slammed was whites. He completely ignored the fact that everyone enjoys those days off. In Mexico they have days off for their independence. Ralphie, Bill Burr, Gary Owen, they all just pander to African Americans by insulting whites. It's pathetic.

I hate the argument of “who’s gonna pick our food?!” Like, good job. A White person saying “we need a permanent underpaid class of Mexicans to do the shitty work in our country” and guess what, if there wasn’t millions of Mexicans here to work at 1/2 minimum wage then they have to pay enough to get unemployed Americans to go to the work. You can get Americans to do the job, just not for next to nothing an hour.

Regarding white people being lazy and not working the fields; my 88-year-old mother grew up on a farm in South Carolina during the Depression. She and her brothers and sisters worked out in the cotton fields. They also worked with sugar cane and in the "truck garden" they had for the roadside stand. The whole family was light -skinned, blue-eyed blondes whose skin suffered from the heat and sun. But they were poor whites and the rules were the same for them as for blacks - if you don't work, you don't eat.

He's funny because he's telling the truth. But he's reading that the wrong way. The same thing in Europe: hard work is done mostly by foreigners because they cost less, but that's because they're irregular and employers exploit them. The average cost of work decreases and Europeans have to stay home because they don't want to renounce to legal jobs rights.
