In this video, Raluca introduces us to the “heroes” of her book, for example Stanisław Szczepanowski. He was born in what is today Greater Poland, started working with his father in Lviv, studied in Vienna, Paris, and London, where he worked for the India Office of the British Cabinet. He returned to Lviv as a businessman, where he soon became an successful oil magnat, but also a member of the parliament in Vienna.
