Great video, I assumed my reverse wire was green, same as yours (2013) but wasn't.. Checked the wire running to my reverse bulb to determine the color and works great! Thanks!

jd turbo so the reverse camera comes on so it’s getting power, the radio switches to the back to view so the signal is getting to the radio to switch, I have the yellow rca to the r.cam input but it’s a blue screen that says no signal. Any idea?

I think green purple wire is power for camera. So when you put the truck in reverse it signals the camera to come up on the monitor.

I just went to an installer to hook my camera and he said that i need a resistor or the camera is gonna blink rapidly.

I followed this and now my EVIC says to check the trailer wire harness. I hope I'm not screwed.

No that's what it will say when you put it in reverse. It goes away when you go back to drive. I just thinks you have a trailer connected. That's where you are getting the power from the camera from

Great video!! But the rear camera only works when I depress my brake pedal. There are two green wires, I connected my positive wires to the lighter green one. Also, I am getting a message on my dash stating, Service trailer brake system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes you will get that message on your dash because your trailer connector is getting power thinking you are hooked to a trailer. It sounds like you may have hooked it up to the break wire instead of the reverse power wire? Mine only turns one when reverse is engaged which sends signal to camera

John Fulginti I think the wire behind the dash is a green purple wire. Should have a tag that says reverse I think

@@jdturbo8234 I got that, but at the back of the truck, which wire do I splice into? I have two different green wires, I am using the light green one now. What is the correct color wire that I should splice into? Thanks again for your help.

John Fulginti it maybe different depending on your truck. You just need the reverse positive wire which should be marked on your trailer connection cover

Dudley do rite 2014 but it should be all the same from 2013-2018
