It’s pretty straight forward, the manual covers hooking up and unhooking pretty well. Make sure the latch engages and its locked in. It does it automatically if you have it in the right position before backing in, if not the jaws wont engage, It's pretty simple. I dump all of the air before hooking and unhooking. If you are used to a regular 5th wheel you are going to have a big smile on your face, they are amazing. If this is your first hitch you are going to be spoiled!

I am thinking of getting one, I also have a 2014 Ram Limited. I currently pull a 36' Voltage toy hauler and have the trail air pin box witch makes for a smooth ride but I still get some chucking over rough roads.

Our last toyhauler was a two axle victory lane and it had a 5th airborne pin box on it. That was nice but this rides much nicer.

I am installing the same set up in my driveway. Did you install the overload brackets that mount to the frame along with the bed rails for the hitch?

Yes I did. Check out Etrailer.com, they have awesome hitch install videos for lots of trucks. But yes the brackets mount to the frame and the rails bolt to them.

Is this some particular sub-version of TS3? The TS v.3 they showcase on their website doesn't have lateral articulation, so I'm wondering if they updated the minor version increment with the added roll feature?

Did it eliminate the chucking?

Is your truck a short box?
@dukeboy-664510 жыл бұрын

Yes it's a short bed 2014 Ram 3500. My trailer is a 2008 Montana 2980 34 ft it does have the rounded front cap. Unfortunately it's in a different location, I just bought the truck and I'm looking for the best hitch for it. I would like to avoid a slider but I'm not sure if thats possible.

Al Wenzlawe Short bed = all the payment, half the truck, I never understand why anyone would buy a short bed if they plan to tow.
