RAM 8.4 AN GPS 2019 Update - Watch if you want it

I updated my radio to the 2020 version. I have the 2019 which I don't need. If you have an older version and want this update please send an email to [e-mail] and put only the words Map Update and I will randomly choose someone. Please send email by Sept 31. I'll post a video with the winner. (Note: your radio must use VP4 update versions, see video for location of this in video) VP3 won't work.

In 2017 my RAM 6.7 was 56,000 out the door. They wanted 600.00 to activate the GPS plus yearly updates of 150.00 plus associated fees and taxes. LoL I bought the Garmin 7 inch RV GPS and love it.

Their was actually two different 8.4 inch displays ,one had gps and the other the dealer loaded it . The factory one actually has some different features that the dealer one can't do.

Hi Marion, great video I have an 2018 ram 2500 it’s had an update but I find the GPS isn’t as good as Other units I have had. Would like to go back to the old garmen maps myself. Updates were cheaper and simple, usually worked great here in Canada. Thanks again for all the maintenance tips and tricks.. be well cheers .

I just bought a 2014 model with the VP4 unit. The previous owner did a 2018 map update. She even left the upgrade usb in the glovebox when she sold it. Problem is 2018 maps are too old for my area. Map shows me off in the woods a lot of the time because the roads have been rerouted after 2018. Do you have a 2021 or newer map update. That would be amazingly great.

VP4 just has more options than VP3 that’s what the difference is I have a car with a VP3 and it has less stuff than the VP4 in my ram

No, it should let you regardless of version.

No, the updates are about a year old by the time the release them. I'm due to update also.

I paid $500 dollars for the GPS package when I ordered my 2017 and don't use it at all as it's horrible. I rather use my phone going down the road risking a head-on with a semi than use that piece of crap they call a map.
