“Just feel in your Heart now your own beauty. Allow for a moment yourself to recognize that you are a being of the Spirit and the Light of the universe can pour through you. You, just who you are. You.” ~ Ram Dass - Breath of the Living Spirit (7:55)

"Did you ever believe you could experience this spirit in you?" Oh man, that sent me to tears right away, reminded me of how the past 5 years or so have been so transforming for me, from a tangled web of anxiety to getting to know and experience the spirit in me. I take you as my guru baba Ram Dass, looking forward to becoming great friends. Oh also the singing sent me straight back to tears, i joined for most of it, beautiful beautiful stuff.

I was wondering why Ram Dass felt a bit different than usual in this audio and it turns out that this was in 1975, a period he has written about in an article called "egg on my beard", a period in which he himself shares that he was influenced by others in his life which resulted in him being a bit unclear about many things, he ofcourse learnt from it and came out stronger and more in tune with his heart and being on the other side and that is why his audio and discourses after this period have an even deeper heartfulness and wisdom. Sharing this because others who might be sensitive might also feel something feels a bit unusual about the way Ram Dass speaks at some points in this lecture. I love Ram Dass and so just felt responsible to share with other listeners that this was a challenging year in his life that he says was important for him to grow and learn from but simultaneously it might be good to keep that in mind while listening to this audio, because his inner wisdom and clarity in my opinion feels a bit shaded by the influence of this period and that seems to get reflected at some points in this discourse.

Yeah it's really wonderful to listen to Ram Das's talks over the years. You can both hear and feel his own growth over the course of his life. I love all his stuff but as he got older he softened and became so luminous

“Influenced by others” is putting it lightly. he got tricked by a fraudster who manipulated him, and as well as several others who now run what became “Ram Dass inc.” they all became members of a harmful abusive cult run by a lady named Joya He sounds really really inflated in this one. Glad he got out of it, others he brought into that scene took a lot longer to get out of it. The question is, how much did they bring of that energy into Ram Dass inc…..

Great idea . Please make sure you get that copyrighted first thing . But you shouldn't be telling people your title or what makes your work unique until it's published ... somebody will come out with a book called Spiders Don't Eat Crackers or Spiders Dont Eat Cookies , before you get your book out there you know what I'm saying . Best to say very little about your projects until they are actually completed ... protect your brain children ... don't let thieves steal your babies .

i cry everytime mostly but this one is so triggering . Ive always known the beauty within not the depth however . i cry because im being shown loss or grief on a grand scale as well as a new beginning ; but the beauty within is getting covered and tangled with the d(t)ra(u)ma(s) .
