RAM Kangaroo

The Ram Kangaroo, was the worlds first armored personnel carrier. Through it's use during the final years of WW2 it proved itself to be an essential piece of equipment on the battlefield.

The concepts are four. 1.Armoured protection for the inf prior to debussing on the obj from arty fragments and mg Rds.2. Suppressive fire from the .30 cal.3. Commonality of parts with medium tanks easing the logistics burden.This would apply to Sherman Kangaroo’s: more than the ram but many parts were the same . 4. cross country mobility.

Sd.Kfz. 251 got 14,5mm angled armored plates and transporters after the WW2 were coping that idea, not to mention that Sd.Kfz. 251 got proper dors to load and unload soldiers without forcing them to be a target practice for the enemmy if you trying to go into or leave the vehicle under fire. The only fail in comparison to more modern personel carriers in case of Sd.Kfz. 251 is lack of cprotection from the top, but in case of RAM Kangaroo the situation is the same(minus less ability to run if the plane is attacking you and you trying to jump out and find some cover, like for example under the vehicle...). Starting the video with info that you know that you are wrong and there were real personel carriers before do not make the claim more logical...

So you're telling me that a vehicle that can get penitrated by a 50 cal round counts as an armoured personal carrier. Buddy it was more closely related to an armoured car than an APC

@@reelogic2341 the M113 could be penetrated by a 50 cal. Was it not considered an APC.
