The great Arturo Toscanini demanding the best that the NBC Symphony Orchestra was able to produce; Ramón Vinay in rare form delivering in what I consider to be his best performance of this dramatic aria of one the greatest Verdi operas. A magnific musical achievement by all involved back in 1947. And, in this 2003 restored version, more clear and almost free of some minor original distortion and sound impurities. What an outstanding recording! Originally my favorite; now more than ever!

Yo sólo lo vi cantar en vivo como baritono en el Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile. Lo recuerdo muy claro.Escamillo y Falstaff.!!!!!!!
