The first reference of Ram is from Valmiki Ramayan In Valmiki Ramayan Ram is referred as Maryada Purshotam which means a dignified and elevated man. He is not projected as God. One needs to correct Jaggi here. The concept of religion itself is alien to Bharath, religion implies obedience to one true god and one true book. There was no religion during Sri Rama’s time. It was DHARMA, the eternal dharma called SANATANA DHARMA, that was prevalent then and Rama Ji was part and parcel of this Sanatana Dharma. Please don’t try to decouple Sri Rama from Hinduism, a name given by aliens but is another name for Sanatana Dharma. You have or you have tried to decouple yoga from Hinduism and failed miserably. I respect sadhguru a lot but there are some things i don't understand . He says don't be bitter about something otherwise you will end up doing atrocities ( it is an assumption ) . Shivaji maharaj did have some amount of bitterness i am sure 😂 against the muslim rulers but he never crossed the line when it came to the women of the enemies and the same goes with maharana Pratap . Moreover bitterness or pleasantness may be a choice for a yogi like you but these are just very normal reactions when it comes to normal human beings like us but how we' re able to deal with these different thoughts and emotions is another different matter . But honestly if i give my opinion despite being an absolute nobody😂 i feel if we want proper human behaviour from our people the sanatani religous identity has to be made stronger 💪 than ever before . This has never happened our religious identity has been down played on every platform from education to films everywhere . Prabhu shriram is sanatana dharmi, prabhu shriram is master of vedas and he strictly followed it to set an example to mankind. If sanatana dharmic people are called hindus in today's (indian constitutional) terms then prabhu shriram is hindu!.

But still he is called the "God of cricket". When someone does something exceptional, that person is always hailed as a "God". Now you can think what will happen after few hundred or thousand years. Why these many years. There is already a temple made for Sachin. So down the line, by the human psychology goes, there will poojas performed in the name of Sachin. Ram was a similar character. Why his brother Lakshman is not termed as a "God"? Why only Ram? You'll get the answer. Now humans by nature want to identify with exceptional personalities. They want to feel like, they’re part of a group. The only exceptions, are who have gone beyond identities, like saints, people who are spiritually inclined.

Yes agreed but if you were to live for thousand years from now then as you said may be Sachin and even Amitabh and many more may become gods for those people just like Ram has become a god for those living today. You also explained about lakshman not being god but as far as i have heard ram has few negative things such as he killed a dalit which nobody highlights and has made him a hero though he doubted his wife Sita's character which has no effect on his followers. This has not happened to ram in particular the same goes with other religious people also. These are beliefs of the people and nobody is trying to look for evidences in order to seek the truth.

Lord Ram was from Kshatriya caste. Caste sytem is only in 'Bhagwat geeta` and 'Manusmirti', which obviously are Hindu scriptures. This is a proof that Lord Ram was Hindu.

Already Hinduism is being rediculed in India more than else where, where millions of Indians are practising Hinduism overseas quite peacefully.
